Is this a windows error? DOS error? what is the complete message if you can boot to safe mode (after knowing the exact error) try replacing the INI file that gave you the error... go to search find type in the exact name then find it and replace that file from one you pulled off of a working computer using the same method ... both comps should have the same OS

SOURCE: error 32 message on pc when starting up

I would recommend your perform a system restore!!! You file system is definitely corrupt... If you have accidentally deleted any crucial files in the system 32 that is need during the POST, this will fix it it. It will revert back to the original settings the way it was before the issue happened. After you get past the POST and log into windows, run Malware Bytes software ( its a free download from Cnet.com, Trial version) And it will detect any viruses that may be responsible as well!! It has an excellent rating too!!!

Hi I am Farah, and as I wanted to download java , it came thet" " is not valid win 32 application'. What shoudl I do? Thx

It is possible that you are attempting to install a 64-bit version of Java when you have a 32-bit operating system. Check your operating and confirm this. In Vista you can find this using Start > Control Panel > System. This is similar if you have Windows 7. Here is what it looks like:

pcjanitor.jpg
If after that you, you follow these instructions from Sun (Java) to locate and install the 32-bit version.

Error: x64.exe not a valid Win32 application This article applies to:
  • Platform(s): Windows 7, Vista, Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows 2003
  • Browser(s): Internet Explorer, Firefox, Mozilla 1.4+
  • Java version(s): 6.0
SYMPTOMS

While trying to install Java a user gets an error message similar to:
' ... x64.exe not a valid Win32 application'

CAUSE

The error message is a result of trying to install a 64-bit version of Java on a 32-bit operating system.
SOLUTION

User needs to install a 32-bit version of Java software, since a 64-bit version is not compatible with their 32-bit operating system.

Follow these steps to download 32-bit Java
  1. Go to Manual download
  2. Click Windows XP/Vista/2000/2003/2008 Online.
  3. The File Download dialog box appears.
  4. Choose the folder location.
  5. (Save the file to a known location on your computer, for example, to your desktop).
  6. Click Save.
  7. Close all applications including the browser.
  8. Double-click on the saved file icon to start the installation process.

Error 32 message on pc when starting up

Sounds like possibly a corrupt file system or possibly a bad program install.

Try to boot to SAFE MODE. Restart your computer and press F8, select safe mode from the boot choices. If Windows loads try to use system restore or remove any program you may have installed just before this happend.

If it still won't start restart, press F8 and select the repair option then follow the onscreen prompts

Hope this helps.
