Question about Kenwood KDC-MP2035 CD Player
I can't figure out how to get the player into mp3 mode. There is the button that changes between CD and tuner, but that doesn't do it.
Here's what they don't tell you: AUX isn't automatically an option when you scroll through the SRC button. You have to turn it on. I know, I know...stupid. I had to contact Kenwood (the maker of the unit) directly to get an answer.

The "SRC" button changes the source on the KD-MP2035. Press "SRC" and select "AUX". Your MP3 player should be plugged into the AUX connector to the lower right of the control knob.
Hope this helps.

Best guess is that your source button or whichever button changes from cd, to Tuner, to usb, to Card, is shorted, and needs cleaning. Its like the button is always pushed.
see if you can carefully dsiassembly the reciever to get to the circuit board behind the button I speak of, and clean it.
