Question about Computers & Internet

1 Answer

Windows 7 installation.

Try to install Windows 7 on ASUS M6V notebook. Therefore windows is asking for a driver to be installed. I guess it is about the onboard ATI X600. W7 doesn't accept the legacy drivers. Do you have any suggestion? Regards, Vojta.

I recommend purchasing a new video card that is compatible to this new platform of windows or, roll back to the previous operating system that was originally installed.

Hi, First of all There isnt full support for this video card first. But they did come out with a mobility package that works on a lot of laptops currently. This is everything currently being supported in 1 file. sorry but they aren't willing to separate the file.

Can asus k42f be ugraded to windows 8?

Windows 8 has updated drivers as much as you would get from Asus built into win 8.

Go to devise MGR, if windows 8 did not load drivers, you will see a flag.

See what hardware did not load a driver and then use the win 7 driver.

You don't do anything to make a win 7 driver work, if the driver is newer, and signed it will install, if it's older then the driver windows installed, it won't install. If you see a flag and windows did not install a driver, then try the win 7 driver, or go to the MFG of the hardware and see if there is a win 8 driver.

You can also run windows update, if win update see's a newer driver out it might pick it up and give you a install option.

Now, your chipset, and most hardware has windows 8 drivers out.

The drivers are the biggest problem, the biggest problem for you is the BIOS was not set for windows 8.

So you could find even with the best drivers, win 8 slower or has bugs more then win 7 will have.

Me, I would bench test all the hardware with win 7, then with win 8 and see which one is better.

How can I install Windows 8 on my computer with M2N MX SE motherboard?

Hello try the asus homepage here:

http://support.asus.com/Download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=M2N-MX&p=1&s=24

The vista drivers should work, when you install windows 7 again.
The files has to be unziped, before you install the driver.
But that does not mean the drivers will work on win 8.

Here are the other models of the mainboard:

http://support.asus.com/Download/ModelList.aspx?SLanguage=en&keyword=M2N-MX&type=1

Consider to buy a new mainboard, that supports win 8.

A new mainboard cost around 100 dollars, and the cpu aswell.
You maybe have to buy new ram, because all new mainboards have ddr3 ram.

Good luck

My pc with the motherboard P5VD2-MX SE has no audio after installing windows 7, the driver didn't install properly and asking a support:WNT_5.1H_MCE.

This is your board with Asus's link:
http://usa.asus.com/Motherboards/Intel_Socket_775/P5VD2MX_SE/#download
It doesn't show support for Windows 7 however, some that are compatable with Vista are also compatable with Win 7. Try uninstalling the driver then try to install using Asus link. If that doesn't work do the same here:
http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=24&PFid=24&Level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false
You can try this also though, I don't believe you have the AC97 codec.
Good luck,
Dave

WHERE CAN I FIND ALL THE DRIVERS I NEED ONCE UPGRADED TO WIN 7 (32BIT)

Hi there!

Once Windows 7 is installed in the computer, you don't need to install all the drivers for the computer since Windows 7 can use the native drivers except for the webcam. I haven't found the one working for it.

If you insist on installing the drivers, you can download it: ASUS A8Js. It is the last one on the list. You'll have to install each driver manually since auto.exe will not work for Windows 7.

Hope this helps.

I need all drivers needed for asus f5RL model,WINDOWS 7 ULTIMATE

1) Go to: http://support.asus.com/download/Download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us, select your laptop model: Notebook > F5 series > F5RL 2) Select your operating system (If you use Windows 7 32-bit version - select Windows Vista 32-bit, if you use Windows 7 64-bit version - select Windows Vista 64-bit, because Windows 7 and Windows Vista normally use the same drivers). 3) Download all the listed drivers one by one.
However, if you want to download all drivers automatically - install a free driver updater software, e.g. http://www.innovative-sol.com/drivermax/index.htm - let it scan and update all your missing drivers. ----------------------------- P.S. If this helped you to solve the problem (or at least brought some clarification) - rate this solution with 4 thumbs up! But before you would give a negative rating - post a comment, so I could improve my solution to satisfy your needs. Thank you!

The screen display doesnt fit the screen, i have windows xp installed, and under properties the slide bar wont move so therefore i cant adjust it. help?

At a guess, you do not have the proper VGA drivers installed.

Official Downloads:
http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us

Go into Start -- Control Panel -- System (Classic View) -- Hardware -- Device Manager Tab.
Click on Graphics Card and uninstall and reboot.

For alternative drivers, Run a search on
