Rear Upper strut bushing problem

I have a 95 Buick LeSabre which had a loud rattle coming from the rear passenger side of the car every time I went over a bump. Mechanic diagnosed and "replaced re-manufactured rear upper strut bushing on the left side" (even though the noise came form the right side. The first guy I took it to could not even find where the noise was coming from after having looked at the car for 1 full day. Now it's back just 8 months after being fixed any idea's before I take it back to the same mechanic? Thanks!!

If the shop is any good, they will recognize that it should not have failed in 8 mos. But, its past any warranty, and they don't have to do anything. If you have lost confidence in that shop, then find another...but give them a chance to correct the problem first, if they offer to.

Sounds like it could possibly be the upper or lower control arm bushings squeaking. There may possibly be a grease fitting on the control arm bushings, if so, have them greased. In fact get a complete grease job from a qualified mechanic. If the squeak stops then you know what is wrong. Then make sure you keep your care properly greased. Usually every time you change your oil or at least twice yearly.

Struts noise?

I would tend to believe it's more likely a worn sway bar bushing or link if it's a rattle or a small clunk, if it's a loud clunk probably a strut, try bouncing he back of the car when parked, if you get the clunk probably a strut if only when driving, turning, braking probably just a bushing on the sway bar

2000 Chrysler Sebring thump noise over bumps

Could be the upper strut mount, or one of the control arm bushings.

2001 Tarus clunking sound

very common problem is the sway bay end links that attach to the strut from the sway bar. They sound like a light chuckling knock over bumps. The bushings that hold the subframe up wear or the bolts loosed due to the bushings wearing. usually the rear ones The bushings are 2 piece ,upper and lower Tighten with 18mm socket

2000 Buick LeSabre Struts

Yes there are struts on the front and shocks on the back. 2 of each. They are around $50-100 for the fronts. $30-100 for the rears depending if the car has air ride or not.
