can watch 65 inch mitsubishi tv but when I hit the device button to watch a dvd or any other device the tv just goes off after about thirty seconds and then the dreaded green light starts blinking. so basically can watch tv stations but cant watch any devices because turns off when pressing device. Can anyone give me a simple solution?Comment posted on May 06, 2009
my tv is a mitsubishi 65 inch medallion hdtv 1080. my tv will power on fine. I can watch regular tv programs for as long as I want. The problem is when I hit the DEVICE BUTTON on my remote or on tv itself or any AUDIO/VIDEO BUTTON the tv turns off after about 30 seconds and then the green power button blinks. During that 30 seconds I have no control with ANY BUTTONS on the remote or the tv itself. I have to reset it in order to turn the tv back on. In a nutshell, I can use any buttons on remote or tv unit but as soon as I hit the DEVICE OR AUDIO/VIDEO BUTTON I lose all control of any buttons and tv powers off and green power light blinks. Can anyone help, Thank youComment posted on May 06, 2009

thanks for answering me. do you have a model # for these parts your talking about. I trust that you have done your research but if I could have somekind of part # or something where I could try a desperate search. If discontinued like you say then I will do my crying and go from there. Thanks again, WAYNE

HI, i have some very bad news to relay so please understand that i am simply the messenger at this point.
OK, the issue you are experiencing at this time is due to a major control fault within the main control board inside the TV cabinet. The bad news is, this part has been discontinued and is not available as of January of 07'. There is another part that has been discontinued as well and that is the Convergence assembly.

I have done some additional searching for the main control board and it is defiantly not available. I even tried to find the actual IC chip that is damaged and it is not available as well.

Ok, the first discontinued part that you need at this time is the PW Control main. this has been totally wiped from the system. i tried to retrieve the part numbers from Mitsubishi to no avail. it was wiped in 07'. Now, the Convergence assembly is another discontinued part that i discovered when i was searching for the Main Control board. i have located the part number for this as it was just recently discontinued this year. it is 935D601001.
