Weres the fuse for the gas opener in 99 deville

My release for the gas tank will not open so went throgh the trunk to open it up and im not sure were the fuse is to change it

Try looking in the glove compartment press trac/valet button if i press this button my gas flap won't open to also the trunk don't open as well

I have the same car with the same problems except for the tail light. My radio works when it wants. This morning I went out and my trunk was open and now it will not stay closed. I dont know what to do. I have no idea where to start with fixing the radio. Did you ever find a solution.

I have a DeVille also, so if I had the siezed problem I would get a can of Blaster from Auto Zone and give it a good squirt then work with it. After getting it open spray Lock Wrench Silicone spray into it, because it did happen to me from lack of using the darn key.

There is no key hole at all for the trunk, or you just don't have a key? I guess if there is no key, your only option is to remove the back seat, and go through that way. If it's just a missing key, take your car to any GM dealership, and they can cut a key using your VIN number. You can't turn the emblem on the trunk to access a key hole like they used to be?

Sounds like the door release actuator is sticking. Try lubricating the latch when the door is open. In addition to using the button on the dash, you should be able to open the door pulling the wire adjacent to the fuel door inside the trunk.

Cant get my fuel tank door release open, nor my trunk!! Ive checked the fuse and that's not the problem, can you help me!!!

So the key wont open the trunk? there should be a pull cable in the trunk near where the gas door is to open the door.

Gas tank lid will not open when switch is pushed.

Open trunk and pull cable in left rear side trunk panel. This is an emergency release for the fuel door. You may have to pull gently out on fuel door while tugging at release cable several times. When the door opens oil latch solenoid tip and bend tab on door latch about 2mm towards hinge.
The fuel door is flimsy and tends to get bent. Once it is bent it prevents the latch solenoid tip from releasing the door latch.

Hello: Please check the valet switch in the glove box if it is on, turn it off and try the trunk and fuel door. Also there are 2 fuses for this system. The fuses are in the trunk compartment fuse block. They are labeled as follows:radio/phone fuse 10 amp and convenience fuse 20 amp. The round key should open the trunk, if not then it might be the wrong key or the trunk lock cylinder may have been replaced.

My Volvo S70 has a gas tank lid that locks when closed. There is a release on the driver's door. Yesterday when I tried to use the release on the driver's door to open the gas tank lid the gas tank lid...

HI,
Is this a lever or button you pull or push? If it's a button than it must be electric and there is likely a fuse somewehre in the link for both trunk and gas lid that may be under the dash, by the engine, or somwhere else.

If it's a lever than it's likely a cable that runs back to them...but not sure how BOTH would be 'broken'. Does the lever feel 'different' as in loose or less tension than in the past?

How do you fill the gas tank?

IM SORRY BUT THAT IS FUNNY.

No seriously now.....if the release in the trunk wont work then the relaese may be stuck, frozen, or broken.

While you are pulling the one in the trunk, you or someone else use something like a small screwdriver to pop the lid open, then leave it open till you find out whats wrong with the release.

By the way, just so you know, those gas doors will not stop anyone from syphoning your gas. A screwdriver will pop that door open in 1/2 second, its more cosmetic and a slight deterent.

2006 Kia Optima/release button for fuel tank does not work

you may want to check all the fuses first.

then see if you can remove the switch and test it . if you dont know how to do this please take it to someone who can test this for you.
on an 06 kia with a problem like that i would just have the dealer fix it really quick for you.
the problem is the fuses or the switch for sure.

How do i fix automatic gas cap opener and trunk opener?

isn't there a MANUAL RELEASE CABLE in the trunk ? Check for a blown 20A fuse. Ck fuse around fuse # 22. Hope this helps
