I just fixed, possibly, same problem. Took off nut that attaches water to the fridge in the back, and cut off 2'' and replaced the plastic compression ring. Tighten the nut and no leak. $1.29 for pkg of 3 at HD

opening the door when it is humid or a bad door gasket will cause that,if the freezer freezes and the fridge gets warm, then it needs a recharge

Water is leaking from the bottom corner of the freezer

Is it an excessive leak ie pools of water on the floor? If it is not a major leak it might be normal condesation being drained.

Water leaking from whirlpool gold refrigerator

When refrigerators leak water it usally is a sign that the defrost drain found inside the rear of freezer and behind the rear panel of freezer has become clogged with ice or gunk. Sometimes the pan below refrigerator has a crack and allows water to leak onto floor. Please click here=> Leaking Refrigerators Just What may Be HappeningYou will at times see water build up inside freezer bottom especially on bottom freezer refrigerators. My Maytag side-by-side refrigerator/freezer Leak

There is a pan and drain hose under the freezer coil that is there to catch any water when the freezer goes into defrost. I feel strongly that is where you will find your leak.
I hope this helps.

Water pools at bottom of freezer, freezes and water leaks out

Hello, this sounds like you have a blockage in the drain tube, remove bottom shelf from fridge and remove the styrofoam..you may see ice build up...melt ice with hair dryer/heat gun...you will see a pan below evaporator...melt ice in pan...dry water up in pan with paper towel...now you should see a hole in pan that leads to drain tube...pour some hot water in pan..wait a couple minutes..mop up water and repeat this step 2-3 times....once you have done this find some flexible curatain wire or electrical wire..poke down the hole until you see the water drain..now it is clear..put back panel back and you are good to go. The reason you see water in the Freezer is because the water has been leaking into the freezer instead of running into the drain hole...Please feel free to comment again if you need any further assistance. Water collecting in the bottom of freezer.

There's a small drain in the bottom of the freezer compartment. It will clog up from time to time and cause water to pool up, then run wherever it can. So, find that little drain (small hole about the size of a dime or so) and un-clog it. you can do this with hot water and a turkey baster!

Water accumulates at the bottom of the freezer unit and leaks

You must clear the drain of anything that would cause water to pool up after each defrost cycle. Check your door gaskets for wear. Air entering the ice box can cause excessive frost.
