Problem for Epson Stylus Photo R2400 InkJet Printer
I have an Epson R2400 printer and the print head
I have an Epson R2400 printer and the print head scrapes on the paper and leaves horizontal lines across the photos. I can hear the print head when it scrapes the paper. I can do the print head cleaning and it works for one print, then the same problem.

- Thanks, I've done all that. New set of cartridges, auto and manual head cleanings, print head alignment. I still get the lines and scraping sounds.May 11, 2009

do all of the test's

and then try to print.
if that does not work
take out the catrages and put them back in.
try this and see what happens

- that means the heads are pressing to hard on the paper and that you will need to take it to a repair center it can be that the cartrige holder broke from the shaft.Yes
