My digital display is not working on mygoodman thermostat model tstatg2100-2.. Numbers are broken and will not set heat or air.. Is there something i can do or do i need to replace it??

Stephanie, usually when the numbers have a partial display on a digital thermostat it has been damaged by having been exposed to excessive pressure. Also the fact that it can no longer be set for a particular mode indicates replacement is necessary.

Sounds like your tstat could use some attention. The broken bar sounds like a low battery indicator. To verify wether the tstat is working correctly you can try bridging the R and W wires (after the thermostat) to set a call for heat. Be careful when you do this as you could short or blow your circuit board and other sensitive electrical parts. The R terminal is 24v power and when you bridge R and W you send 24v to the circuit board which indicates a call for heat. W is heat Y is cooling. If nothing happens still then you should call a technician as you may have broken parts and will require replacing.

How to take a honeywell radiator off the wall

Turn off the circuit breaker to the AC and heating unit. The circuit breaker is inside the home electrical box. The door of your electrical box has a guide indicating which circuit breaker controls the cooling and heating system.Pull the cover off the Honeywell manual thermostat. If necessary, use a flat-head screwdriver to pry the cover away from the base of the thermostat. Locate the two small screws securing the sub-base to the base of the thermostat. The sub-base is the portion of the thermostat that has the indicator dial or indicator lever. Remove the screws with a Phillips-head screwdriver, and pull the sub-base away from the thermostat.Remove the screws securing the base of the thermostat to the wall with the Phillips-head screwdriver. Pull the thermostat base away from the wall so you can access the wires.Loosen the terminal screws securing the wires to the back of the thermostat with the flat-head screwdriver. Wrap the wires around a pencil or a large screw. This will prevent the wires from accidentally falling inside the wall cavity.

My furnace keeps clicking on and off. I have a White Rogers 1F78 model thermostat. Any chance the problem is with the thermostat? If so, any ideas on what I can do to troubleshoot? Thanks.

Remove the front cover from your thermostat and see if it has a heat anticapator. THIS WILL BE A SMALL ROUND DIAL WITH A CENTRALLY MOUNTED POINTER and a selection of numbers on the outer rim. It should have an arrow on the face of the dial that points one way and says longer and the other way that says shorter.
Check on the rating plate on the gas valve for your furnace and see if you can find the amp. rating for that valve. A usual rating would be .30 or .35 amp If you can find that then hold the dial on your thermostat and move pointer to the closest setting. Put cover back on your stat and turn it up a little to make furnace come on.
Hopefully this will help you. Good luck Thank you and have a happy holidays

Heater days on for secondary n turns off...stays off for too do I set it to stay on longer periods...

Match the thermostat heat anticipator with your furnace gas valves amp draw. For instance, look on you gas valve and the amp draw is .02 look on your heat anticipator dial and set it for .02
Most wall thermostats do not come preset. The heat anticipator wire is miro thin and can be severed by simply touching 2 24 volt thermostats wires together to check for voltage.

Hi,Many Reddy heaters do not have a thermostat installed on them. The most common way to control them is with a thermostat that the heater plugs into and then the thermostat plugs into the outlet.
Some models may have a thermostat, but if you do have one it is not the little adjustment screws in would be a rather large dial type knob.ere is a tip that tells about the little screws and how to use them...

Our thermostat is set on 73 degrees, but it won't heat past 67 degrees.

pull the cover off the front of the t-stat [just pops off easy] you will see alittle copper dial usually on the left left side called a heat antisapator, move it to .3 this will allow the heat to stay on alittle longer

The themometer dial as broken off

This problem would require the replacement of the dial if it is the dial that has broken, or replacement of the thermostat control if the shaft of the control is what is broken.
