All three buttons are lit: Alarm, Black Ink & Color Ink. I just replaced the color ink cartridge. I had a printer jam and took paper out that was stuck. Now E3 is flashing and I can't find my manual. I tried unplugging the power cord from the back and didn't work.

I am using CANON MP160 Printer. It had been working properly for the last 4 months. But since last few 10 days, I am not able to print as always error 5100 pops up. Kindly suggest.

Issue: ERROR: Service error 5100 appears while printing from the computer

1. Allow print head to cool down
2. Disconnect and reconnect the USB cable to ensure a secure connection
3. Press ON/OFF switch to reset the multifunction device
4. Reseat ink cartridge (MP160 / MP180 / MP460)
5. The MP160 may require repair

Try the above... and you also can see this on the canonusa web site....

This error means waste ink counter is full.

Solution:

2. Hold down RESUME and then hold down POWER
3. Release RESUME
4. press RESUME twice, then release POWER
5. let green light blink until printhead has finished moving.
