Ok first, I am sorry to tell you the Dimension 8250 is not VISTA compatible. Especially with that video card. Vista is a power hog and has high demands of your PC. You should really revert back to XP if you want things running normal.

    Upgrade card

Well, these are the minimum specs for Age of Conan:

    OS: Windows Vista/XP
    Processor: 3GHz Pentium IV
    RAM: 1GB RAM
Video Card: Shader Model 2.0 and 128MB RAM: NVIDIA GeForce 5800 or ATI 9800

These are the specs of your computer (base):

    • Intel Pentium 4 550 (3.4GHz) Processor
    • 1GB PC2-4300 DDR2 Memory
    • Two 74GB WD SerialATA Hard Drives in RAID0 Drive Array
    • 16x DVD+/-R and 48x CD-RW Burner Optical Drives
    • Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Audio
    • NVIDIA GeForce 6800 Graphics Card with 256MB
Seems to me that you are okay. Would a faster computer be better? Of course. But as you are, the game should play alright. Upgrading to an 8 series Nvidia is worth the change, though.

    New LCD ACER 17

It sounds like it is a settings issue in Windows, you should be able to fix it by following this order:
Go to your Start Menu>Control Panel>Display>Settings>Advanced

Click on: "GEForce Go XXXX" and on nView Display Mode change from Single Display to either "Clone" or "Dualview"

Than click apply and that should fix your problem.

If that doesn't work, than download the Acer Driver with the for Windows XP if your monitor is certified for vista.

This is a common issue with vista,
    Hope this helps!
