Good day,i have an aiwa HX-A1000 stereo system with a 3 cd changer,casette player/recorder,and 5.1 surround sound.After having it in storage for several years,i have lost the owner's manual and cannot seem to get the auto reverse cassette deck to work.I wanted to consult with the manual,but it costs 10 dollars for the pdf file,this cassette player is like none i have ever seen,and when i place a cassette in the tray and close it,the player reads one side and then the other and then shuts off as if no tape were loaded.I have no clue what's wrong.Also my volume jog dial will only increase volume when i turn it either direction.any info you can help me with would be greatly apreciated.Thanks,Joe.

Make one. Take speaker wire, split the pairs apart so you have about 4 feet separated, twist the ends together, make a T shape and hook up the other end to the Stereo. Hang it on a wall maintaining a T shape.

Laser is either dirty, so a lense cleaning disc required. Or the cd transport is kaput. Uneconomical to repair if this is the case

It's been 8 years since you've used the system, so over time, the belts may have dry-rotted. Most likely, it's the belts. You can see if you can get them replaced, or, if you know what you're doing, you can replace them yourself.

look up the operations manual book at google or something

Belts might be worn or even broken for the tray so i'd start with them first!

Considering you only have 3 speakers, I would think you would be further ahead by purchasing an entirely new system.
