Hi Azeem123,

Your PSP is Bricked.  You need to send it to Sony to get your problem resolved. The contact information is listed below.

I know this is terrible news for you.  When you were downloading the Flash0, something disturbed the download and corrupted the PSP. This is what Bricked you PSP.  Brick refers to your psp and it is dead until Sony fixes it, no more worth than a brick.

    Hi Azeem123,

Go to www.playstation.com.  There you can select the country and a  Sony Consumer Service near Pakistan.

    Hi Azeem123,

Well then, you may have to repair this yourself.  If you have a Friend that is comfortable with Electronics, you might ask them to help you repalce your motherboard.  You can order a new motherboard from Ebay, or www.repairmyvideogame.com.  Either you or your Electronics friend can go to www.llamma.com and see pictures and instructions on disassembly of the PSP.  You really need to be carreful with the LCD Blacklight Ribbion cable connector.  It has a Brown clip that flips up and towrads the Black light ribbon.  The other connects flip away from the ribbon. This will solve your problem if you follow this comment exactly.  USE LLAMMA.com

    Azeem123,

Yes, you do have to remove the LCD to get to the Motherboard.  It is very important not to force any ribbon cable loose from the motherboard.  The connectors are attached very weakly.  Always flip the Red or Brown retainers when you see them on ribbon Connectors. You will see a two trace riboon on top and to the left of the large ribbon cable coming from the LCD.  This is the most tricky. The brown retianer for the two trace ribbon cable flips from the back of the connector towards the ribbon cable. I hope this is not too confusing or you.  Feel free to ask me questions through this Venue.

    Azeem123, Attention!!!

Something else could be wrong with your PSP.  Your Backlighting for the LCD could be out. This requires a new LCD.  Turn on your PSP , and see if it is functioning even with the black screen,  as you might can see a faint image.  If you see a faint image and get sound and all working fine, your Backlight is dead.  This is not near as bad a Bricked. I only say your PSP is bricked because of the reference to Flash0.

    Hi Azeem123,

No, do not buy both.  Troubleshoot, its one or the other. If the PSP functions , has sound, but you only see a black screen, its the LCD.  If your PSP does not function at all, no sound, or anything, with Black Screen, its the motherboard. Your welcome for the support. I enjoy heloing you out on this problem.  I hope you are sucessful.  Feel at ease about writing comments on Fixya.

    By the way azeem123,

Try calling the sony number and ask them if they know of a service center near Pakistan. Or go to the www.playstation.com site and select the Continent nearest Pakistan to get a support phone number near you. Thank you for telling me about mininova.  I run the webiste called www.playstationclinic.com.  I repair Video game concoles of all kinds and most DVD players inside the USA.  The reason I keep it inside the USA, is the cost of shipping International along with the repair fee is more than the consoles are worth.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

Themes that i downloaded, where should i put it??because i putted it in the themes but it is not there when i want to use it as my theme

You have to first download the theme off your computer, you cant get it from your psp's web browser. Then after you connect the psp to your pc, you have to make a new folder in the root of your psp memory card named "THEME". All you have to copy into the THEME folder is the .ptf file. The .ptf file is the theme. Then after you should be able to see it in your psp. Hope I helped!

PSP wont Turn On. =(

well if your psp won't turn on then the only way to fix it without buying another psp is to make a pandora battery and magic memory stick or buy a pandora battery from www.pandorasales.com. the pandora battery places the psp into service mode and the magic memory stick has the installation files to recover the psp through the recovery menu. I suggest using at least a 2 GB memory stick at least or purchasing the pandora kit fromm www.pandorasales.com it will fix you guaranteed.

I am not able to download themes in my psp

You don't have to create a themes folder on the on the memory stick duo, it is already created on the memory stick duo, all you have to do is to just connect your psp to your computer and activate the USB connection under settings on your psp, if you have firmware update 5.00 or higher, there is a feature called USB auto connect under system setiings which automatically switches to USB mode when you plug in a USB cable to your psp and your computer.
STEPS TO DOWNLOAD THEMES TO YOUR PSP.

1. connect your PSP to your computer, go to MY COMPUTER on your desktop and click on the drive that represents your PSP.

2. double click your PSP drive and navigate to PSP folder and select THEME under the folder.

3. Now copy and paste this link to your browser to download many themes for your PSP: http://dl.qj.net/index.php?&catid=538&name=PSP-Themes-PSP-&p10=5

4. select the file you want, click on download, depending on your browser, click SAVE when you are prompted to RUN or SAVE the downloaded file. Please select the PSP drive under MY COMPUTER and select PSP, navigate to the THEME folder and save the file to this folder.
Now disconnect the PSP from your computer and select THEME SETTINGS on your PSP, select THEME, navigate to the available themes and you will see a preview of the theme, select apply to use the new theme.

I need help

To use the .CTF Themes you need to download the plugin called cxmb.prx

1. Download the plugin (cxmb.prx)
2. Extract the file and place into root of your MS0:/
3. Put the theme file (any name you like :)) under MS0:/PSP/THEME/
4. Enable cxmb.prx in Recovery (under VSH)
5. Go to Settings -> Theme Settings -> Theme to select your CTF themes
6. System will reboot to take effect

To Use the .PTF Themes download it first then put it inside ms:/PSP/THEME. if the folder is not there please create it. To apply the theme on your PSP, go to “Settings” => “Theme Settings” => “Theme”.
