The time has come for you to reset the printer since you have already reached the maximum print outs for a printer, it varies from 5000 to 7,000 prints

SOURCE: Canon iP1800 printer, flashing orange light under the green 'on'

First off, How many times does it flash organge before it goes to green?

two: out of paper
three: paper jam
four: Ink has run out
Five: FINE cartridge cannot be found
Seven: FINE Cart. not installed in correct position
Eight: Ink absorber almost full

Count how many times it flashes. Then get back to me

Try removing cartridges and manually claening the heads with cleaning solution and cotton bud (q-tip) replace. Print. No luck? Now try uninstalling and reinstalling printer.

  2. Hold down Resume button and press Power button.
  3. Keep holding down Power button and let Resume button go.
  4. Press Resume button 2 times then let BOTH buttons go.
  5. Green lights will flash and then stop blinking.
  6. When green lights are solid, press the Resume button 4 times.
  7. Press the Power button and the printer should turn off, if not, press the Power button once more.

MY PRINTER'S ALARM LIGHT IS FLASHING AND SHOW ERROR 2 CAN YOU HELP ME ?

Power light flashing 7 times

According to the Canon2.gifwebsite 7 flashes indicates that the incorrect Print Head has beeninstalled. I know it is sometimes possible to fit a Print Head from adifferent printer into a Canon printer - it'll fit but it won't work!

I don't know what your exact model is, but just go to the canon website
http://www.usa.canon.com/home and search for your printer model.

Should be written on the outside of your printer. Find your printer on the website, and it will tell you exactly what printer ink cartridge to buy.

Please rate me, and leave a comment, or if you still need help post an other message in a reply to this, so i can follow up and help ya further.

Flashing Amber Light

Hi again,
-not sure if you have resolved your issue, but in case you have not...this is a preliminary solution
-if you need more help...just post a comment..as this will automatically put it in my account to see * respond to

-anyway....this is an excellent high quality printer!
-the flashing amber light on the printer indicates that it is offline..ie. not ready to print
-to fix it...
-assuming that there is paper in it & that the cables are fully connected
-on the lower right...press the resume button once (within the 2 button right hand lower area)
-this should put it back online...and help you to print
-if you need further help...just ask

as well...remember to rank...but understand that anything other than a FIX-Ya..actually lowers my rank...so if the above doesn't help...just ask...
thanks
