I have an hp 7310 all in one..I had a paper jam, cleared that, now I keep getting the carriage jam message..it acts like the cartridge is jammed ont he right and won't move..when I turn it off and on and...

Generally when this happens, something has fallen into the printer, or a piece of paper has been jammed in there.

First step, remove the ink cartridge, and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it, see if anything comes out.

If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of cardstock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there.

And gave the rode that the ink slides on a good clean and maybe a bit oil on cloth and wipe the rod with it.

Also clean The purge unit, called a spittoon assembly in an HP, Lexmark, Caonon and other inkjet printers, is where the print head assembly parks when not in use, also its other job is to clean and make sure the print head is clean and open for printing.

That is where you'll find the print head assembly parked on top of it.
It also has an electrical pump to milk the print heads and test for ink flow.

So clean all under where the heads are parked and on IP6600D models you can take out the heads just by clipping them out, and then clean well.

Printer is not printing anything at all..black or color. Cartridges travel back and forth and paper is pulled into the printer just like it is going to print. But, the paper comes back out completely...

Make sure the sealing tape is completely removed from the print heads (the silver part on the bottom of the cartridge). Then press the print head against a paper towel to get the ink flowing. If that doesn't work, try cleaning the cartridge electrical contacts in the printer and on the cartridge with isopropyl alcohol followed by water.

Cartridge jam...cartridge will not move to the left...stays right

turn off the printer and manually move the ink cartridges to the position that you can remove the ink cartridge.
turn on the printer without the ink cartridge. The printer will tell you, you need a ink cartridge, open the printer and insert the ink cartridge as described in the manual.

apply greese material on the steel rod on which the carriage moves.or it could also be the problem of the sensor which detects the paper in the printer ,that sensor is moved from its orignal position.

HP Digital Copier 610 Carriage Error

Depending on where the paper jam happened and how you cleared it, you could have either "knocked the copier for a loop" or actually damaged the print carriage. The first thing I would do in your shoes is to turn off the copier and unplug the power cord from the back of the product.

Wait about 30 seconds or so to make sure any errors being held in the copier's memory by any residual electrical charge clears.

Plug the power cord back in to the back of your product and turn it on. My guess is that you'll be prompted to go through a cartridge alignment procedure. That may well clear up the problems you see.

Just in case, I'm posting a link to HP.com to instructions on how to clearn the electrical contacts on the print cartridges and print carriage. There are also instructions on this page regarding latching cartridges. These seem to be fairly easy processes, but if not done correctly, can result in continuing errors:

Print back your results and good luck.

go to hp.com, support and troubleshooting, type in your pirnter model number and download the user manual. follow the direction to disassemble the printer. you might not need to disasseble the printer, if you can see the jammed paper.
follow the direction and clean the roller and the printer head.
it should work.

Child damaged HP6110 - Help

It stretches from left to right behind the cartrige assembly and the assembly slides on it. It's a sensor strip for positioning the cart. asm. I'm not sure how it attaches, but you'd have to take the unit apart to do it.

Good luck...
