Pentair 250 CH LP will not ignite. Pilot works

Pentair 250 CH LP will not ignite. Pilot works fine, main burners will not come on. Red LED blinks once every 7 seconds on the Honeywell control module. How do I test the thermostat & pressure sensors? What resistance should they be?

To test the presure sensor jump the wires that plug in to the sensor if it turns on the presure sensor is bad and the the thermostat do you mean thermo sensor the one that checks the water tep follow the wires to were they plug in turn power off get your finger wet and put it were it plugs in on the 2 prong and turn it on the heater will light up if the sensor is bad

Do you have 24V at the brown wire of the gas valve? If you do then it is probably a bad gas valve.
If you don't have 24V on the brown wire it is probably the ignitor.

Pentair Minimax CH Propane Millivolt Ignition Heaters error E05 what is it?

If you are firing, and then going off and getting an E05, your igniter is to blame. It may be glowing but it's getting weak. The diagnostic goes further but that is usually the fix.. With inactivity, the igniter is always to blame. You really need to fire it off weekly to make it reliable and make sure that your heater is serviced at least one time a year to keep all the internal components operating as designed.

Pentair minimax 250 leaks onto burner

Unfortunately it is usually caused by a bad heat exchanger. Not too expensive, but a dirty, time consuming job to replace.

Dometic RM 2800 Works great on AC but not on LP

Most likely cause is a blocked gas jet in the main burner its rare for the thermostat to be faulty but you cant dismiss it

I have a minimax 250 i can light the pilot but the main burner will not light. i jump the th to th/pp and the pilot goes out.

are you sure your jumping th and th/pp? the labeling on valve is a little deceptive.should use 1st and 3rd terminal on gas valve. if your using correct terminals try same thing with thermostat wires disconnected from gas valve. this will isolate valve from all controls and safties.if it fires valve is good and need to look in thermostat loop for problems. hope this helps

Rheem/GE power vent water heater, pilot lites, but not the main

I would check to see if the switch on the blower pressure sensor is closing...When T-stat calls for flame, the circuit starts the blower, then the blower pressure sensor switch closes to allow the main gas valve to be powered.

Main burner not lighting

Could be bad coupler or pilot valve is not staying up due to bad spring. If the light does stay lit at all, then the problem is with the fuel.

You can get the entire pilot assembly for $70 at poolcenter.com

Pilot flame starved out after burners ignite

The declining pilot light might be an indication it is being starved of oxygen by the main burners or some other sort of circumstance.

I have noticed how in a closed room without ventilation the pilot light soon begins to decline and then springs back again when a window or door is opened while the main burners are hardly affected.

This is the gas equivalent of sending canaries down coal mines and is an essential safety feature. If the pilot light declines very much the thermocouple bulb will not be heated and the gas supply to the main burners will be cut off. This is why the pilot light is set at an angle and the thermocouple bulb is slightly offset.

I am not sure if this helps but I hope it does.
