Is there a free sound card fix for my emachine w4885 desk top?

I need a direct link to replace my sound card which is now missing since the computer crash. I've had no sound for nearly a year, and have all of the drivers.

SOURCE: MY SOUND CARD

Hi, you should have the driver CD for soundcard as it is shipped with the new sound card - if not you must download the driver for the soundcard not for the Chipset of the computer. Look at the soundcard - normal the driver manufacturer and model is shown on the "biggest" chip fixed on the soundcard - donwload the driver as shown on the chip of the soundcard from the manufacturer and install. (ensure you select driver for you operating system)

Hope this help.

After pluging my desk top to an external speakers ther was aspark and then there was no sound in my desktop what i should do i checked the control panal it say sound is working properly should i put a new...

The external speakers most likely generated electrical feedback to your computer. If you can plug in headphones and get sound from them, then your computer's sound card should be OK. If not, then the electrical feedback has damaged your computers sound card. Sound cards are fairly inexpensive thankfully.

I would like to reboot my emachine desk top computer but when i put the cd that comes with it its just giving me the user guide menu but not how to reboot the computer

hi
Reboot is nothing but restart. So if you wish to reboot your computer then just shut it down and restart it. You don't need any CD for that.

If your system isn't shutting down, you can turn it off directly. But it is not recommended to do often, as it could damage your Windows and may also damage your hard drive.
However, yes, if you want to reinstall the Windows then you would require the CD. If this is the case then please let me know through comment, else rate.
Thanks.

Have a emachine w4885 desktop. cannot get any sound. I is teling me I have no audio device, i used to have on. can anyone help, i need my music

hello, if it was working before, here is few things you can check, first lets verify that for some reason it is not driver issue, go in device manager and make sure there is no yellow excalmation mark in front of multimedia/audio device, if yes, follow this link and reinstall drivers and test again
http://global-download.acer.com/GDFiles/Driver/Audio/Audio_Realtek_5.10.0.5170_XPx86_A.zip?acerid=633934348147566657&Step1=Desktop&Step2=W Series&Step3=W4686&OS=X01&LC=en&BC=eMachines&SC=PA_6E
if no excalmation mark is there and you do see your audio card in the list, try this:
go to control panel, double click the"sounds and audio devices", then click on "sounds" tab and make sure "Windows default" is selected under "sound scheme". Now go to "Audio" tab and make sure under "Sound Playback" your sound card is listed as default device. finally go to "volume" tab and make sure "Mute" is NOT checked, and "place volume icon in the taskbar" IS checked. Click "APPLY" then OK.
test your sound.
hope this helps, let me know if you any more questions.

Computer

Try uninstalling the sound device and see if the problem is resolved. The problem could be an incompatible sound card.

No sound from Emachine computer

You have to disconnect your cables again and put it in the green conector. then start up your PC, and check the mixer con sound multimedia if all is up, and NOT MUTE, then see if sound is comming again, check if your sound card, is ENABLE on BIOS, and drivers are ok.
