When I insert disc not always will it recognize having a disc in it. It does it off & on.

I have the same problem, just started recently. When I put a disk in it doesn't recognize it, keeps saying "no disk". I've tried everything, turning it off and on, removing and reinserting the disk, buying new disks, nothing works. Any idea how to fix this?
