Question about Computers & Internet
When I try to access the internet, google will not open. I have been in touch with my service provided, dodo, without success. However, I found that if I enabled DMZ in the router, I can go online. I have been told this leaves me open to viruses. Is this true & if so, do you have any suggestions. I have Norton 360 on my computer & my service provider says it could be causing the problem. I have disabled the Norton firewall, but still cannopt access the internet. Only when I enable DMZ can I go online. Can you suggest anything please?
Looks like DHCP service was snot configured properly, you should define some range of IP addresses it will provide, like 184.108.40.206 to 192.168.0.100 for example - look for that settings on your D-Link and try to enter this. Then your PC net card setting should be set up to obtain IP address automatically. Moreover, see also this topic http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies-archive.cfm/317008.html

What router are you using? You will probably need to open some ports.
