Question about JVC PD-35D30 35 in. Plasma Television
I tried to connect my laptop to my jvv TV using a vga cable but it has no input on the TV. I thought about S-video but my TV is 4 pinned and my laptop is 7 pinned. I tried using a VGA-HDMI adapter but it wouldnt fit even after i took out 4 pins. I cant think of any other ways to connect my Lenovo laptop to my jvc HD plasma screen TV. Any ideas?

Hi, I'm afraid that not only a cable is needed but an analog (vga) to digital (dvi) converter/scaler as well. The iLo LCD Display V27DMBX-U12 can hook up to a PC using the DVI-I connection only. As you said, your computer has the standard 1D15 pin VGA connector. Another possibility is if your video card has a composite video output (normally a color yellow RCA female) or an S-Video output which will both connect direct to your iLo LCD Display V27DMBX-U12. For the RCA connection all you need is an ordinary RCA to RCA shielded wire cable and for the S-Video, an S to S Video cable will work. There is of course the question about the quality or the resolution. Good luck and hope that this be of some help to you. Pls post again how things turn up. Kind regards.

the problem is with the micro processor on the back of the fx-1169a board (gm-p420ug) this is the board the inputs connect to . yours may be a diffrent p/n due to yours bein a "e" extention model. to repair this problem you need to remove the processor from the socket, remove the socket from the board and solder the processor onto the board. the processor is ic002 on the back side the problem is thermal in nature due to cold solder joints on the socket. i have fixed this problem many times by using this method.

(1) Have you selected VGA Output on the Laptop?
Usually there is a Function Key combination like Fn Plus F7 to send output to the external VGA Port, usually depicted by a monitor icon on the F7 Key
(2) If still no input to the TV, check the TV manual for the frequency of the VGA Input.
For Windows XP Sometimes you have to go into
Control Panel / Display / Settings /Advanced then Monitor Tab
& look at the Screen Refresh Rate.
Suggest you try lowering that value till it produces a signal.

You need an HDMI driver... also sometimes a special HDMI cable is used for Apples too, I believe. Also a lot of sets must start with a resolution of 800x600 32bit. Also research if HDMI is actually possible from your video card too. Some HDMI doesn't send the audio via the cable either you must use AV audio out.

SOURCE: i have a sony pfm-42b1
you should change it from hdmi to cable. You can do it only on a hdmi tv when you do that you can use it for the pfm-42b1e because i had the same problem too. when you plug your ps3 to a hdmi tv you go to settings-display settings- video output settings than you change it to av multi. After you do that you can use it on pfm-42b1e
