Question about Miele 24 in. Incognito G643SCVI Built-in Dishwasher

1 Answer

Hi I have a Meile G 685SC Dishwasher. It has a water inlet problem. It will not fill and just keeps cycling through the water filling process with the water inlet light flashing. I have taken off the inlet pipe and removed and cleaned the inlet filter and washer and put them back. The filter was blocked with a sand like substance. I have taken apart the antiflood valve also attached to the inlet pipe but it is gel sealed so unserviceable. The inlet pipe itself on removing from the vlave appears clear. When it tries to fill the flow does not sound right at the antiflood valve. Water intake not working. Intake/drain light flashing. Pump is working and draining any water in the dishwasher, but no fresh water is coming in. Cleaned filter on intake line. Could this be the anti-flood valve not working?

Check that the stopcock is opened fully or whether the water inlet hose is kinked...Check that the water inlet filter is not clogged and clean it, if necessary, as described in the operating instructions....Check that the drain pump is not clogged. This can be cleaned as described in the operating instructions....Reset the error message as follows: To cancel the error message, turn the rotary selector switch to "Stop/End" or press the "Start/Stop" switch for approx. 5 secs. Then switch the appliance off and then back on again. If the fault message reappears, please contact the Customer Contact Centre

Water wont stop filling up

If water keeps filling or dribbling into the machine with the power off it's the water inlet solenoid. If it overfills only during the cycle then it is the pressure switch or pressure switch tube.

The dishwasher does not fill up with water, but when we manully add water, it seem to run through cycle. also, the buttons seem not work properly. If I want to rest, it will not activate when pressed.

Hi

When the Dishwasher won't fill you'll need to check for the water inlet hose, the water inlet valve and the float switch assembly. When the water fills your dishwasher, a float rises along with it. As the float reaches a certain threshold level, it shuts off the flow of water, thereby preventing a leak. Sometimes the float can get stuck in the wrong position in your dishwasher, and it can prevent your dishwasher from filling. Sometimes it can happen due to float valve and on other occasions due to float switch. Inspect the water hose coming to the dishwasher for any blockages. If the hose is not clogged then check the water inlet valve for any clogs, if the water will not even fill for few seconds then certainly the water inlet valve is bad and should be replaced. You can also use a multimeter to check continuity on inlet valve. If you don't get any value on the multimeter then you'll need to replace the water inlet valve assembly. However, if the valve is fine then the float switch assembly should be replaced. Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information.

No water is coming in the dishwasher. I can hear the water running, but the water is not coming into the dishwasher

If you can hear the water running - but it's not filling, you most likely have a drain problem, which is being stuck open. Usually the motor kicks in and either pumps the water through the wash arms (during wash cycle) or through the drain (during drain cycle) the switch that/or flap could be stuck on the drain and it is pumping it out the drain all the time instead of the wash arms.

The dishwasher goes through the cycles but will not fill with water on some cycles.

Hi

When the Dishwasher is not filling in, you'll need to check for the water inlet valve, the filter screen and the float switch/assembly. Also check for the float assembly inside the dishwasher. When water is filling your dishwasher, a float rises along with it.

If these are fine then it's due to Water Inlet Valve. Use a multimeter and check for the continuity on inlet valve. If you don't get any value on the multimeter hen you'll need to replace the water inlet valve assembly.

Please post back for any further assistance.

When left the dish washer slowly fills with water causing flooding

Hi.

If the dishwasher fills when being left off, the tech must check for voltage at the inlet valve, then eventually replace the inlet valve.

If the dishwasher overfills during cycle, then test and eventually replace the water level device, usually a float sensor and switch.

No water coming into dishwasher

dishwasher will not fill with water: This is often the fill valve. You can test the fill valve coil for continuity with a ohm meter, no needle movement = bad fill valve. You can also test the fill valve for 120 volts at the fill valve with a volt meter, power there and no fill = bad fill valve. No 120 volts there, you will have to trace power back to find the trouble maker. Test things like the float and float switch, wires and timer. Fill valves are very bad for working once or twice and then quitting, if your dishwasher fills the first and second fill cycles and then no more water through the rest of the cycle, replace the fill valve. You will need to remove the access panels to get at the fill valve. Dishwasher fill valves also have a screen built into the valve entrance, this can also get all clogged up and need to be cleaned. ----- There's no water entering the machine If there's no water entering your dishwasher, check these: Water-inlet valve Float switch Water-inlet valve The water-inlet valve lets water enter the machine. If this valve is defective, you need to completely replace it. It's usually located behind the lower access panel on the left or right side. It's the device with the main water line (usually copper) from the house, a rubber tube to the dishwasher, and two wires attached to it. Float switch The float switch is a small electrical switch that's located right below the dishwasher "floor." Above the switch, on the inside of the dishwasher, is a plastic cylinder that floats up as water fills the dishwasher. If this switch is defective, or if the plastic float gets caught or trapped in the raised position, the water can't enter the dishwasher. If the float switch is defective, you need to replace it.

No water filling into dishwasher

Hi not to be rude, but have you checked the water inlet valve (might not be turned on) also you might check the water line going to the dishwasher it`s self it might be crimped, or you could check the water inlet on the dishwasher , I think that the fill valve might be stuck also. Hope this was helpful.

Miele G 7856 Commercial Dishwasher

Hi. The above machine stops mid cycle and drain/fill light is on, also error code F3E, have cleaned both hot and cold water inlet filters, also checked drain pump and drain line, all ok. Machine drains with no issues and fills with hot water, runs for a while then shuts down.
Any ideas?
