Question about Casio HR-100TEPlus Calculator

1 Answer

Casio HR-100TE The percent sign is stuck on when you hit the CA button to print. You can not type in any numbers when it is on print. The numbers don't show up or print. There is a tiny letter E on the far left side of the screen that will not go away. Help! The only way I can get the numbers to display is with the on mode but when I try to printthe numbers disappear.

The problem of your unit is its printer. Probably the gears has misaligned. Only an authorized technician can align the printer of that unit, because it is a bit difficult to align the gears.

Try to contact the nearest service center of casio in your area.

Press the CA button twice. Then push and hold down the %/set key until the 0 disappears and reappears. Then type in your tax rate and the percent key (eg: 8.25%) and then press the TAX+ key. It should save the new tax rate. Posted on Feb 25, 2008

How do I use my calculator on my computer?

I am not sure what you mean. You computer has a built in software calculator. If your calculator has a USB port and is designed to connect to a computer (the Casio HR-100TE does not seem to have hat capability), you can use it as a numeric keypad. It would have a key to make what you type on the calculator echo on some number handling application like Excel.

Where is the percentage button?

You can try pressing "alpha" or "2nd" and then pressing the key you saw the percent sign on.

here is a temporary solution in case that doesn't work:to enter a percentage up to write the digits before the tens and ones (if any, and if not, just type a zero), a point, and the last two digits.ex:
  • 56%=0.56
  • 28%=0.28
  • 132%=1.32
  • 4243%=42.43

To write down the answer, take all the digits, take off the point, if the percentage is 99% or less, don't write the zero on the right of the period, and add a percent sign.
