And computer came with connexant 56K DATA/FAx modem
Recently I have not been able to send faxes. When I go to fax console and then outbox my fax attempts are there with red circle with x in it . Upon opening properties of a outbox fax the extended status reads "fatal Error" , along with JOB ID: 0x0201080a30b2a429, Broadcast ID:0x2001080a30b2a1b8. Not that this means anything but I figure I 'll give as much information as possible.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling. I have checked device manager and modem is recognized and enabled . I also ran diagnostice there and the event log?. I have checked all my services and anything that should be dependant is running. Then I went to device manager , right clicked on 56k modem to properties, then opened up driver details and made a copy of those files listed:
I have been trying resolve this problem for almost 2 weeks now, so any suggestions are welcome!!
Please if any further information is need just ask.
Thank you and I look forward to your reply!
It really sounds like a driver issue that your having. HERE a site that is the manufacture of the modem/fax, and they have a modem central that gives assistance to problem modems/fax's. You will need to agree to the acceptance, but they might solve your problem. The other thing that you can do, is faxing from your cable modem as well. There are all kinds of programs that allow faxing via the internet. And since you make it FixYa, you can fax through the router and forget the ol'e fax modem.

usually confilcts arrise like this when 2 or more type connections are present on one comp especially if not integrated on same card together.
solution: disable nic reboot pc then send fax should go alright.
though if you have call waiting you should disable it before sending any fax. try using WINFAX proven technology.
