How to Locate, Replace Capacitors on a Samsung HP-S4253 Plasma

My TV has no audio or video!! I have read, but can't find again, a problem with the Capacitors on a HP-S4253 Plasma TV. I removed the back and viewed the Power Supply Board. I don't find anything labeled 3300uf-10v. Can anyone help me located them so I can replace them with 3300uf-16v?
Please email at joan@goldbear.com.
Thanks, Joan

SOURCE: Samsung LN-S4051d power supply board

The replacement of the power supply is quite easy. You will have to remove the base if applicable and the back cover, once you remove it; you should see the power supply.
Click here to see how the power supply looks like and availability or Click here to find a cheaper one.

I can also repair your power supply. If you need further assistance you can write to jah2mil@hotmail.com

I doubt that moisture damaged the SMPS bd.
There are many circuit boards in your set and it will take a trained samsung tech to find the problem.

SOURCE: Which Replacement Power Board for LNT4665F Samsung LCD TV?

Howdy,
It would be a lot cheaper if you just replace the two caps that have gone bad. Just get a cheap solder pencil from the store and about an inch of solder and you are in business.
The Power Supply Board is the center Board (towards left) after you remove the back off the TV. Remove Board from TV with the 6-7 screws. Replace capacitors CM852 & CM853; 2200ufd 25volts.

Thaks for using FIXYA, BIG IRISH.

SOURCE: I have a 46" Samsung LNT4661FX / XAA LCD TV. My

Hi:
The 6v difference does not make a difference to the unit, besides this is what is recommended to replace them with 1000uf 16v. The result of the power supply failing may of damaged the T-Con board assembly, this is the board near the top of the LCD Panel, it is under a metal sheild. Replacing this board will solve your problem.

Typical problem in some video/audio board. However, if this only occurs on a particular video input ie: dvd or vcr, it may just be your wire connection.

Error diffusion on Samsung 50" PLASMA TV

Yes the diffusion problem on your tv is due to the pdp panel aging. What you can try is readjusting the VSCAN voltage, there is a test point marked VSCAN using a DVM you can first check the voltage, should be around -- 190 turn the adjustment counter clockwise this should reduce the voltage, watcthing the picture turn control untill the sparkling pixels stop. That should do it. The panel is starting to age this may occur again until you can't adjust it out meaning a bad panel.

You would need to have a technician remove the back of the TV and make the adjustment. There are 2 small adjusters that they change to adjust the voltage.
