Question about Toshiba 50HP95 50 in. Plasma Television
I have a Samsung HP-S4253 Plasma TV. It is dead...no sound or picture!! I have read on this site that the problem can be solved by replacing the 3300uf 10v capacitors. I looked on the Power Supply board but can't find anything with that number. How do I located these capacitors so I can replace them?? Please email me at email@example.com. Thank you for your help.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

I had the same problem. It turned out that one of the cooling fans get dusty and does not work. I opened the back of the Toshiba plasma TV and cleaned the failed fan, and it worked like a champ.

It's not difficult, but it's dangerous. Your best bet is to look for a repair person right here on Fixya - just click on the link that says My Products above, and it's cake from there.
It's a quick process, and it shouldn't run you too much more than the 252 you already spent... and you're saving yourself the risk of electrocution. Those parts are crammed in there like a game of Tetris.

Resetting the TV
Some TVs have a reset button. If available and accessible, try using the reset buttons before using the steps below. Using the reset buttons can saved time.
1. Unplug the TV power cord from the power outlet for 3 - 4 hours.
2. Unplug any connected devices (DVD, Set-top boxes, etc...)
3. Press and hold the TV power button for five seconds.
4. Plug the TV power cord back into the power outlet and turn on the TV.
5. Open the on-screen menu to confirm that the TV is responding again.
6. Turn off the TV and reconnect the devices.
7. Turn on the TV.
hope this may help;

You can get any size/type capacitor from DigiKey. See this thread for the part numbers I used: http://www.fixya.com/support/r741402-polaroid_flm_373b_lcd_tv_black_screen
