Question about Palm Vx Handheld
When I turn my palm vx on
this message shows on the screen: "use stylus to tap center of target"
What does that mean? I am able to use it.
Hi, I had the problem after the battery was discharged for a long period. when i charged it and turned it on, i got the message "tap the center" but with no luck. i found out that the lipo battery in the palm was like inflated to double size and therfore was pressing on the backside of the screen, as i removed the back cover it vorked just fine ( if you want to turn it on when the back cover is off, there is a "sabotage" switch you have to press to make it operate, it is located just behind the on button)

The stylus is that little pokey stick that comes with the Palm. Use it to tap the X on the screen. It is an alignment program for the touch-screen.

Tips for a great answer:
On your handheld, launch the Prefs application. Under General, select Security.
If the Password box says "Unassigned," tap the box and create a password for your handheld.
Once the password has been set, remove the stylus. Disconnect your handheld from the AC charger, if connected.
On your handheld, hold down the Power button.
While holding down the Power button, use the stylus to press the RESET button on the back of your handheld.
