Hi i have the 4 battry (used in the dell inspiron 5030) there are all new battery but there are not detect with tha not books? please help me how i can solve this problem? best regards saeed birjandi

Hello.

The most common reasons for power issues are the battery, power jack and power adapter/cord.
Power off and remove the battery. If the laptop powers on with just the adapter connected, your battery is faulty.

If you move/wiggle the power adapter at the point where it connects to the laptop, and the power goes off and on, the power jack is the problem.

The power jack is inside the laptop and either needs soldering or replacement. If a power jack problem, it should be addressed by someone knowledgeable.

If no change, the power adapter is probably faulty and needs replacement.

Hope this helps.

Hello, I have an Inspiron 1525 and I am having trouble getting Wireless Network switch to turn on. Is there any other way to turn it on while bypassing the switch in case its broken? thanks, Edite

The other thing to make sure of is that the wireless is enabled in the BIOS of the laptop. Usually when you turn it on and press F2 that will take you into the BIOS. Make sure it isn't turned off for some reason. If its on in BIOS and the switch IS broken then you're out of luck unfortunately. You may have to have the switch or wireless card itself replaced.
Best of luck! Hope this helps!

The wireless network adapter could not be accessed. this application may have dimnished finctionalty as a result. can you help me with this? inspiron 1525

There is a reason the wireless network adapter can't be accessed. It could be that you've turned off your wireless network. The driver for the adapter could be corrupt.
Check to see if it's turned on. If you access your network adapters, you should see if it is turned on or not.
If this doesn't help, from the device manager, remove the network adapter. Restart the computer and it will find the adapter and reinstall it. I think this will solve the problem.

I have a Dell Inspiron Laptop. I recently reformatted it. Now It does not recognize wireless connections. I cant connect to the net Can anyone help?

When you reinstalled Windows, Windows probably did not include a driver for your wireless adapter. A driver tells Windows how to interface with a certain device, such as a wireless adapter. You can easily download the driver online and install it. Once installed, restart the computer and you should again have the ability to connect to wireless networks.
I've gone to the Dell website for you and found the correct driver. Please visit this link: http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?os=WLH&catid=5&dateid=-1&impid=-1&osl=EN&typeid=-1&formatid=-1&servicetag=&SystemID=INS_PNT_PM_1525&hidos=WLH&hidlang=en&TabIndex=&scanSupported=False&scanConsent=False
On that website, I would first try downloading the first driver on the list. If that doesn't enable your wireless after a reboot, try the other ones. After the correct driver is installed, your wireless will be working again.

My 802.11 WAN adapter seems to have "disappeared"

Hello,

Here is a link to IBM's website for trouble shooting the wireless adapter

http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-50402

From the above link:

Some systems come with a Wireless Radio switch to disable the wireless radios. The wireless radio switch is usually located on the front side of the machine. If you are having difficulties with wireless connections, make sure the Wireless Radio switch is set in the On position.

I hope this helps.

Best of luck!!

Hello Mpquinn,

The first thing that I would advise you to do is,

Uninstall the WiFi Adapter totally from the System first,

(For WIndows XP)

Right-Click on my computer Icon, Properties-->Hardware-->Device Manager,

select the WiFi Adapter under network adapters, and right click on it, then select uninstall

Next, Click on Action on that Same page, and select "scan for hardware changes",

This will bring up a prompt to install the new hardware found (Which is your Wifi Adapter).

(For WIndows Vista)

Right-Click on my computer Icon, go to

Properties-->>Device Manager, select the WiFi Adapter under network adapters, and right click on it, then select uninstall

Next, Click on Action on that Same page, and select "scan for hardware changes",

This will also bring up a prompt to install the new hardware found (Which is your Wifi Adapter).

After this, Press your Wifi button on the system and ensure that it is On, then Scan for wireless networks.

It should connect like that.

Try this out and kindly let me know how it goes,

Hope this helps.

Thank you for using Fixya.

Goodluck

I just bought NetGear WG111Wireless Adapter,I installed using The CD,but when is completed installing, the picture showed there are no connected with red cross sign on it, when I click to open network...

When you search make sure it shows up "Searching for wireless networks in range" for a while.

If it doesnt and instantly says "no wireless found" is because you have another program using the wireless connections

To solve this simply click

  1. Start
  2. Control Panel
  3. Administrative Tools
  4. Services
  5. Scroll down to "Wireless configuration" or "Wireless zero configuration"
  6. Right-click and select "Start"
then you can search again

Hope it helps

Cheers

To turn on your wireless adapter, press FN and F2. The wireless adapter light should turn on (the fourth light on the top).

Puzzle Master's House won't open

You haven't solved all 132 puzzles

The game tells you (both in the trunk and in the save slot) how many puzzles you've both found and solved

Players who think they've solved all 132 puzzles usually just look in the game's puzzle list, see that the last puzzle there is 132 and mistakenly assume that they must have solved all 132 puzzles

The puzzle list only shows those puzzles that have already been found, not every puzzle

Unless the found/solved count shows 132/132, then the last puzzle house will not open

If the game says, for example, that you've only solved 131 puzzles, then you have to very carefully look through the list to find the missing puzzle number ... if you don't find it, look again (some players have had to look through the list multiple times before spotting it)

Once you have the missing puzzle number, check this walkthrough to quickly find where the puzzle is (if it's not in Granny's shack)
http://professorlaytonwalkthrough.blogspot.com/

There's a puzzle index down the right side of the walkthrough you can click on

On a side note, this walkthrough can also be used for more puzzle solving fun, by looking at those puzzles that are specific to the other version (US/UK) of the game (there's over 180 puzzles between the versions)
