The drain at the back is blocked. check the back of the fridge for a hose coming out and give it a blow out . once this is done it will fall inside the fridge (whatever was blocking it)so be sure to empty the shelves before engaging in this and turn the fridge off for safety.

I have a Samsung side by side refrigerator Model No: RS21DCSV. The water and ice dispenser are working. However, the water is no longer chilled?

Water is stored in a tube bundle located behind the crisper drawers (bottom, back of the refrigerator) and is chilled to the temp of the refrigerator (perhaps 40 degrees F). This tubing holds approx. 16-32 ounces (less than a liter) and incoming water pushes the chilled water to the dispenser, but also begins to warm the output water temps.

The only way to get colder water is the set the refrigerator to a lower temperature. But be careful that the temps are not so low as to cause other food items to freeze.

No cold water

Hi,

Most refrigerators with a water dispenser have a reservoir (tank) to chill the water before it gets to the dispenser. This tank is typically behind the crisper bins so the water should be the same temperature as the refrigerator. The water may start out room temperature but should be cold by the time you have filled 1/2 a glass or so.

Saying all that, there are a few newer models out there that have reduced the cost of the refrigerator by eliminating the reservoir. If you take the crisper drawers out and look behind them and do not see a tank or coil of tubing then you do not have chilled water.

I hope this helps clarify.

sounds like the drain line for the defrost cycle is plugged. the water is supposedto end up in a pan under the refrig. the drain probably needs to be defrosted and cleaned.located behind the back panel in the freezer compartment

Water and ice formation in chill tray and other compartment

I am going to assume you have a defrost condensate blockage in the rear of the freezer and behind the rear panel where the evaporator drains condensate after each defros. Please correct me if I am wrong.
The answer to finding the cause of the leak is where we need to begin. Most start in the freezer section behind the rear panel where the defrost condensate is drained during defrost. Sometimes the drain hole freezes over and the water drains down into the freezer creating a large area of frozen water. Other times i happens as the water leaves the drain in the freezer and follows its path to the pan below your refrigerator to re evaporate into the air inside your home. If leaking inside the fresh food compartment then the cup behind the control panel may be over flowing and leaking down the back wall of the refrigerator and will need to be taken apart and cleaned to allow the water to continue down to the pan below the refrigerator. Sludge and dust or even ice may be blocking this line. Below is a link to a page that may help you resolve and fix this. Small amt. of water dripping from behind veggie bin

Hi, It sounds like the tank for the fresh water dispenser. Is it coming from the tank on the back wall of the fresh food section?
I can not find the part # but, if this is the source of the leak, I can give other ideas.
Please let me know if I can assist you further.
