Have Optiarc DVD RW, it suddenly stopped working.

Your problem is most likely dust. I highly recomend that if you have a warrenty you shouldn't go take it apart. if you cn send it back to the compay and get a new one for free. BUT if you do't have a warrenty you can go to wal-mart and purchace a can of compressed air and you can blow out the dust that is coverig the lense.

You might try cleaning the lens. Cleaning kits aren't very expensive and you can always use them. It could also be the drivers.

To check and see if it is drivers right click my computer -> manage -> device manager: look for any yellow question marks.
