Have an new LG W1952T LCD monitor - when starting pc, monitor goes to digital power save mode during bootup & I cannot get into/see the bios setup (need to get in to set up new memory sticks). All pc power saver options are turned off/set to 'never' - monitor does turn 'on' when the logon in screen comes up... How do I stop it from going into power save mode during bootup???
system (about 5 yrs old): Abit KD7-raid w/AMD athlon 1.3Ghz 512Mb ram (trying to upgrade) WinXP Pro w/SP2

- Problem solved by calling LG customer service - Bootup is analog and will not show when monitor is in digital mode - it doesnt recieve a digital signal at that point...go figure!
by hooking up the analog (VGA) cable i was able to see bootup fine.
Neet thing is I can have BOTH cables hooked up (only works if you have both connections @ vid card & on monitor) and switch back and forth between digital & analog as needed by pressing the "source" button!
Hope this helps someone else.
- i have the same problem with this "power saving mode" thing.. can you pls explain to me more briefly?,, on how to fix this problem? Thank you..
