ohh no that id not try at all , one can first use a power converter that one can buy off many online sources to convert 220 volt down to 110 volt then to transformer this will be safe 4 unit, the 50HZ to 60 Hz doesn't matter to much as well unless one plans on using the lionel sound generator , then its not gonna sound to spry as it will be a bit slower !!

Try new batteries in the controller Be sure they are in correct. The LED light should come on when it has power. Try moving closer to the train. Usually when the red light is flickering is when there is an engine problem. But here is the Manual just in case you did not have one. Also it has a number for lionel Service in there. Mania Trains in NJ has repro stamps for Pre-War trains...may have stamps for the boxes as well. Many of the stamps came from Jerry Butler....Excellent products
