Blue screen memory dump

hello, usually memory dump are due to memory timings not properly set. if the memory modules are new i suggest to retrieve the memory timings, and voltage, and then set the parameters in the rack bios. if the memory modules was previously on the machine, could be a memory damaged module/s. anyway try the modules on the machine with a single ram module at time and in any case set the parameters in the bios. hope it help

Error code 2000-0122

Error code 2000-0122 means that the RAM failed its tests, the steps to fix it are:

  1. Locate the RAM modules in your laptop, (refer to product documentation for help)
  2. Remove the RAM modules one by one, if you have say 2 stick of RAM installed, put one in and leave the second out and try again if it still fails, remove it and put the other one in and do the same.
  3. Failing that place both the RAM modules in together and try a third time
  4. If this is still failing, you require new RAM

Blue Screen error

ok if your computer is performing a memory dump in this instance it means one of two things first is that your ram has become faulty and second is that your windows has become unstable given that you have tried putting a new windows on it the first is most likely try running your computer with some other ram make sure they are compatible with what you are using now hope this helps

When playing videos and game, my pc suddenly shuts down and buzzes with two beeps

make sure your ram modules are securely seated with no dust in the sockets
if it only happens when playing games this could be a memory dump you might be running to many programs at the one time placing to much strain on the CPU you might not have enough RAM random access memory

hope this helps you

I have a compaq presario cq60-215dx notebook pc, was wondering how do i go about upgrading the RAM?

I have checked the Compaq Presario CQ60-215DX Specification It Originally has 2GB Memory and supports upto 4GB RAM max. If you intend to upgrade the RAM, you can buy additional RAM and put them in you system. Here is the HP Guide to Replace RAM and How to Upgrade RAM Guide
Compaq Presario CQ60-215DX has two RAM slots for DDR-2 (533 or 667) Memory Modules. First you have to check that the RAM slot is available for additional RAM. I believe that it has two modules of 1GB each in both slots. So, you have to get two modules of RAM 2GB each to upgrade to 4GB (or one 2GB RAM module to upgrade to 3GB). Hence, it is recommended that you get 2GB replacement module for each 1GB module you have on you system from local laptop repair/ service center, which would be cost effective as existing 1GB RAM Modules would be useless for you upon upgrade.

Let me know if any further clarification/ assistance is required.

Good Luck!
Appreciate generously, if the solution could have been of any help!

With 512MB RAM in slot1, laptop is working fine, but when I tried to install other 512 ram in slot 2, there were no display and numlock and caplock led start blinking. Both RAM are originally shipped with...

umm .. Are both RAM memory modules the same type? You can fit different types of RAM to a computer but they may not be compatible together. Check that both modules are the same.

Other than that, it sounds as if the problem may be slot 2. This would suggest that either the RAM isn't being correctly engaged or the slot is faulty.

Switch off the computer. Put a memory module into slot 2 to see if the computer works. Try it with both memory modules using slot 2. If neither memory module works in slot 2 this indicates a fault - motherboard probably.

If one memory module works in slot 2 - but not the other module - this tends to indicate a mismatch between the RAM modules and they are not compatible together.

Try removing that newly added memory and see if it solves the problem. Might be faulty or incompatible.
