Question about Dell Computers & Internet

1 Answer

Write a program to implement a survey that prompts respondents to enter an integral value within a specified range to indicate how they like a new product. Since the program must be adaptable to any arbitrary number of respondents and value ranges, define macro MAX_RESPONDENTS to represent the maximum number of respondents, MIN_RESPONSE_VALUE to represent the lowest permissible response value, and MAX_RESPONSE_VALUE to represent the highest. Use an array to accumulate the total count of how many of each response value has been entered. If a value is out of range, it must be discarded and the same respondent prompted again. If a respondent desires to terminate the survey before all respondents have been polled, that respondent may enter a specific number of out of range responses in a row, which the program uses as a survey termination flag. Once the survey is terminated, either because all respondents have been polled or because of out of range responses, the program will output the total number of respondents that gave each of the possible responses. Program output should look something like the following, depending upon the chosen range: Rating Number of Responses 10 25 9 50 8 100 ... ... -1239 0 ? Declare only one array, which must contain one and only one element for each legal response value. This array may not contain a separate element for each respondent. ? Use a macro to define the number of consecutive out of range responses required to terminate. ? The program is to be done using classes. ? Test using different numbers of respondents and both negative and positive response ranges.

Correct a #N/A error blueup_clv.gifShow All bluedrop_clv.gifHide All This error occurs when a value is not available to a function or formula.
  1. Optionally, click the cell that displays the error, click the button that appears ooui1_za06043871.gif, and then click Show Calculation Steps if it appears.
  2. Review the following possible causes and solutions. blueup_clv.gifMissing data, and #N/A or NA() has been entered in its place
    Replace #N/A with new data.
    Note You can enter #N/A in those cells where data is not yet available. Formulas that refer to those cells will then return #N/A instead of attempting to calculate a value.
    blueup_clv.gifGiving an inappropriate value for the lookup_value argument in the HLOOKUP, LOOKUP, MATCH, or VLOOKUP worksheet function
    Make sure that the lookup_value argument (argument: The values that a function uses to perform operations or calculations. The type of argument a function uses is specific to the function. Common arguments that are used within functions include numbers, text, cell references, and names.) is the correct type of value — for example, a value or a cell reference, but not a range reference. blueup_clv.gifUsing the VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, or MATCH worksheet function to locate a value in an unsorted table
    By default, functions that look up information in tables must be sorted in ascending order. However, the VLOOKUP and HLOOKUP worksheet functions contain a range_lookup argument (argument: The values that a function uses to perform operations or calculations. The type of argument a function uses is specific to the function. Common arguments that are used within functions include numbers, text, cell references, and names.) that instructs the function to find an exact match even if the table is not sorted. To find an exact match, set the range_lookup argument to FALSE. The MATCH worksheet function contains a match_type argument that specifies the order the list must be sorted in to find a match. If the function cannot find a match, try changing the match_type argument. To find an exact match, set the match_type argument to 0.
    blueup_clv.gifUsing an argument in an array formula that is not the same number of rows or columns as the range that contains the array formula
    If the array formula (array formula: A formula that performs multiple calculations on one or more sets of values, and then returns either a single result or multiple results. Array formulas are enclosed between braces { } and are entered by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER.) has been entered into multiple cells, make sure that the ranges referenced by the formula have the same number of rows and columns, or enter the array formula into fewer cells. For example, if the array formula has been entered into a range 15 rows high (C1:C15) and the formula refers to a range 10 rows high (A1:A10), the range C11:C15 will display #N/A. To correct this error, enter the formula into a smaller range (for example, C1:C10), or change the range to which the formula refers to the same number of rows (for example, A1:A15).
    blueup_clv.gifOmitting one or more required arguments from a built-in or custom worksheet function
    Enter all arguments (argument: The values that a function uses to perform operations or calculations. The type of argument a function uses is specific to the function. Common arguments that are used within functions include numbers, text, cell references, and names.) in the function.
    blueup_clv.gifUsing a custom worksheet function that is not available
    Make sure that the workbook that contains the worksheet function is open and the function is working properly.
    blueup_clv.gifRunning a macro that enters a function that returns #N/A
    Make sure that the arguments (argument: The values that a function uses to perform operations or calculations. The type of argument a function uses is specific to the function. Common arguments that are used within functions include numbers, text, cell references, and names.) in the function are correct and in the correct position.

How to remove the scvhost.exe Virus.

Svchost.exe is the name of a generic host process for services that run from dynamic link libraries (DLLs). A variety of worm malware programs spread a similarly named file <b>Scvhost.exe </b>via Yahoo! Messenger that blocks the Task Manager and Registry Editor, as well as use of the command prompt.<br /> <br /> <b><u>Warning</u></b><br /> Manual removal of Scvhost.exe may be very difficult as the removal process requires knowledge of the Operating System's command prompt and Registry Editor. If not performed properly, your computer system might experience permanent damage. Consequently, manual removal might be best for experienced users. Less experienced users might want to consider using an automatic spyware removal application, such as that offered by Trend Micro. This worm duplicates itself to different locations of shared folders. The duplicated program uses a folder icon that has an .exe file extension. How to double firefox speed

Firefox is in my opinion the best browser ever made until now. It includes:<br />-improved tabbed browsing<br />-pop up blocking<br />-integrated Goggle search<br />-enhanced privacy controls<br />-built-in phishing protection<br />-online spell checking<br />-lots of themes, interfaces, and extensions/addons<br /> Mozilla Firefox officially supports:<br />-Microsoft Windows<br />-Linux<br />-Mac OS X<br /> Unofficial Support:<br />-Free BSD<br />-OS/2<br />-Solaris<br />-SkyOS<br />-BeOS<br />-XP Professional x64 Edition<br /> Now here are some Tips&Tricks that can help you double the speed of Firefox.<br /> 1. Type about:config in the address bar and then press Enter.<br /> 2. In the filter search bar type network.http.pipelining. Be sure the value field is set true,if not double-click to set true.<br /> HTTP is the application-layer protocol that most web pages are transferred with. In HTTP 1.1, multiple requests can be sent before any responses are received. This is known as pipelining. Pipelining reduces page loading times, but not all servers support it.<br /> 3. Go back to the filter search bar and type network.http.pipelining.maxrequests. Double-click this option and set its value to 8.<br /> 4. In the filter search bar and type network.http.proxy.pipelining. Once opened double-click on it and set it to true.<br /> <br />5. In IPv6-capable DNS servers, an IPv4 address may be returned when an IPv6 address is requested. It is possible for Mozilla to recover from this misinformation, but a significant delay is introduced.<br />Type network.dns.disableIPv6 in the filter search bar and set this option to true by double clicking on it.<br /> 6. CONTENT INTERRUPT PARSING<br />This preference controls if the application will interrupt parsing a page to respond to UI events. It does not exist by default.<br />Right-click (Apple users ctrl-click) anywhere in the about:config window, select New and then Boolean from the pop-up menu. Then:<br /> A. Enter content.interrupt.parsing in the New boolean value pop-up window and click OK<br /> B. When prompted to choose the value for the new boolean, select true and click OK.<br /> 7. Rather than wait until a page has completely downloaded to display it to the user, Mozilla applications will regularly render what has been received to that point. This option controls the maximum amount of time the application will be unresponsive while rendering pages.<br /> Right-click (Apple users ctrl-click) anywhere in the about:config window, select New and then Integer from the pop-up menu.<br /> A. Enter content.max.tokenizing.time in the New integer value pop-up window and click OK<br /> B. You will be prompted to enter a value. Enter 2250000 and click OK.<br /> 8. CONTENT NOTIFY INTERVAL <br /> This option sets the minimum amount of time to wait between reflows. Right-click (Apple users ctrl-click) anywhere in the about:config window, select New and then Integer from the pop-up menu.<br /> <br /> A. Type content.notify.interval in the New integer value pop-up window and click OK.<br /> B. You will be prompted to enter a value. Enter 750000 and click OK.<br /> 9. CONTENT NOTIFY ONTIMER<br /> A. This option sets if to reflow pages at an interval any higher than that specified by content.notify.interval. Right-click (Apple users ctrl-click) anywhere in the about:config window and select New and then Boolean from the pop-up menu.<br /> B. Type content.notify.ontimer in the New boolean value pop-up window and click OK.<br /> C. You will be prompted to choose the value for the new boolean. Select true and click OK.<br /> 10. Notify Backoffcount<br />This option controls the maximum number of times the content will do timer-based reflows. After this number has been reached, the page will only reflow once it is finished downloading. Right-click (Apple users ctrl-click) anywhere in the about:config window and select New and then Integer from the pop-up menu.<br /> A. Enter content.notify.backoffcount in the New integer value pop-up window and click OK.<br /> B. You will be prompted to enter a value. Enter 5 and click OK.<br /> 11. CONTENT SWITCH THRESHOLD<br />You can interact with a loading page when content.interrupt.parsing is set to true. When a page is loading, the application has two modes: a high frequency interrupt mode and a low frequency interrupt mode. The first one interrupts the parser more frequently to allow for greater UI responsiveness during page load.<br /> The low frequency interrupt mode interrupts the parser less frequently to allow for quicker page load. The application enters high frequency interrupt mode when you move the mouse or type on the keyboard and switch back to low frequency mode when you had no activity for a certain amount of time. This preference controls that amount of time. Right-click (Apple users ctrl-click) anywhere in the about:config window and select New and then Integer from the pop-up menu.<br /> A. Enter content.switch.threshold in the New integer value pop-up window and click OK.<br /> B. You will be prompted to enter a value. Enter 750000 and click OK.<br /> <br />12. NGLAYOUT INITIALPAINT DELAY<br />Mozilla applications render web pages incrementally, they display what's been received of a page before the entire page has been downloaded. Since the start of a web page normally doesn't have much useful information to display, Mozilla applications will wait a short interval before first rendering a page. This preference controls that interval. Right-click (Apple users ctrl-click) anywhere in the about:config window and select New and then Integer from the pop-up menu.<br /> A. Enter nglayout.initialpaint.delay in the New integer value pop-up window and click OK.<br /> B. You will be prompted to enter a value. Enter 0 and click OK.<br /> <br />

I am trying to graph to evaluate each expression. how could i do it on the calculator(ti-83) a:(f+g)(0) b)(f-g)(-1) c)(fg)(1) (d)(f/g)(3()

Let us see if I understand what you want to do. You have two functions f and g. With f and g you create four functions,
  1. f+g, which you want to evaluate at 0
  2. f-g, which you want to evaluate at -1
  3. f*g, which you want to evaluate at 1
  4. and f/g, which you want to evaluate at 3
If that is not what you intend to do, then I am sorry to I that interpreted incorrectly and you will have to post a comment with more information.
If however I did understand what you want to do, then there is a simple way to achieve this
  1. In the [Y=] function editor, enter Y1 and Y2
  2. In your mind decide which one represents f(x) and which represents g(x), probably f(x)=Y1(x) and g(x)= Y2(x)
  3. Validate each one by pressing [ENTER]
  4. Do not worry about graphing the function.
  5. Press [2nd][QUIT] to return to main calculator screen
  6. Enter a value (for example 5) and store it in variable X; to do so you press 5 [STO->][X,T, theta,n] [ENTER]
  7. To calculate f(x)+g(x) or (f+g)(x) on the command line in main calculator screen
  • Press [VARS][=>][Y-VARS][1:Function][1:Y1][ENTER]. Main calculator screen echoes Y1
  • Press [+]. Screen shows Y1+
  • Press [VARS][=>][Y-VARS][1:Function][1:Y2][ENTER]. Main calculator screen echoes Y1+Y2
  • Press [ENTER] to obtain the value of f+g at X=5
As you can see, if you want a different operation f-g, f*g, or f`/g for a different value of X, you will have to repeat steps 6 and 7.

I am going to show you how to create a small program that will perform all the 4 operations in sequence, each time asking you for the value of X you want to use. If you are not interested, you can ignore what follows. I remain convinced that it will be helpful for other visitors.

Creating a simple program

Press [PRGM]
Use arrow to highlight [NEW]
Press [ENTER]
Screen displays
PROGRAM
Name= with alpha cursor blinking
Type in the name, for example FOPG ( meaning F operation G) or anything else. Do not use a keyword (reserved command of the TI84Plus) These are what you find in the [CATALOG].

ddae385.jpgac147eb.jpg

The top line on each screen capture is inserted by the program editor after you choose the name. The last line of first screen is the the same line as the second line on 2nd screen. It must not be entered. The colon : is supplied by the program editor. It is the beginning of an instruction.

There are only to commands that are repeated here: Disp and Prompt

Disp orders the program to display
  1. a message (what is between the quotation marks) or
  2. the result of a calculation: Y1+Y2, Y1-Y2, Y1*Y2, or Y1/Y2
Prompt X will display X=? and the blinking cursor. You are supposed to enter the desired value of X and press [ENTER].
The Disp and Prompt command are accessed through the command catalog by pressing [2nd][0] (CATALOG) then scrolling along the list of commands to find the one needed. Shortcuts are possible (see below)

How do i program formulas into my ti-83

To begin a program, press the "PRGM" button and create a new program, naming it however you like. Now, the best way to have it evaluate your numbers as a formula is to begin with a prompt. Press "PRGM", then toggle to the "I/O" menu from the selections at the top, then select option 2, "Prompt". On the same line, list the variables you wish the formula to evaluate, separated by commas. Press "ENTER" to begin a new line, then type out the formula, placing the corresponding letters in their proper places. Instead of an equal sign, use the "STO>" key and then another letter variable using the "ALPHA" key and any letter. Finally, press "ENTER" to begin a new line, press "PRGM", browse "I/O", and find option number 3, "Disp", followed by the letter variable you specified as the answer to your eqution.

This is an example illustrating the equation, 'F=ma'

prgmFORCE
:Prompt M,A
:MA->F
:Disp F

To start the program from the home screen, press "PRGM", select "prgmFORCE", and enter it on the home screen. You will be faced with a query, as illustrated below:

M=?

Simply enter the value you desire for each variable as it appears, and the calculator will evaluate and display your solution.

Code for method parseInt() in java

parseInt(java.lang.String, int)

This code takes two arguments, a string constructor from the Java language and an integer. Its purpose is to parse (meaning de-construct or disassemble into component parts) one data type into another.

Here is an example of a Java program to specify and print out the dimensions of a rectangle, taken from the page http://www.roseindia.net/java/beginners/entervaluesfromkeyboard.shtml:

class Rectangle{
int length, breadth;
void show(int x, int y){
length = x;
breadth = y;
}
int calculate(){
return(length * breadth);
}
}
public class EnterValuesFromKeyboard{
public static void main(String[] args) {
Rectangle rectangle = new Rectangle();
int a = Integer.parseInt(args[0]);
int b = Integer.parseInt(args[1]);
rectangle.show(a, b);
System.out.println(" you have entered these values : " + a + " and " + b);
int area = rectangle.calculate();
System.out.println(" area of a rectange is : " + area);
}
}

Copying data from one sheet to another if two fileds match

Nope, sorry, although I am truly an expert at Excel formulas, I do not understand what you are trying to end up with in the final cell. We can compare a specified field with two spreadsheets - use named ranges and index/match lookup formulas. But then where you really lose me is in reading "a generic field" to find a match, and then placing what "data from another field" into what "other sheet" - ? See the confusion?

Best way to compare 2 given parameters would be to use a nested if formula, with index/match combo. Here is a simple Excel example of how such a formula could be structured:

Sample Data (columnar arangement):
A1: Part B1: Code C1: Price D1: Find Part E1: Find Code
A2: x B2: 11 C2: 5.00 D2: y E2: 12
A3: x B3: 12 C3: 6.00 D3: y E3: 11
A4: y B4: 11 C4: 7.00 D4: x E4: 12
A5: y B5: 12 C5: 8.00 D5: x E5: 11

To retrieve the price for part y with code 12 and return the value to cell F2, type the following formula in cell F2:
=INDEX($C$2:$C$5,MATCH(D2,IF($B$2:$B$5=E2,$A$2:$A$5),0))

Press CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER to enter the formula as an array formula. The formula returns the value 8.00.

To take this one step further, with range names, this example will find one value at a specified location which matches a specific row header value and column header value. Let's say the range is home values (Range=HomeVal), Column A of HomeVal contains street addresses,"row headers" (Range=StAddress), and Row 1 contains dates of the various values that are in the body of the table, "column headers" (Range=Dates). To return the specific value from the range HomeVal to another sheet, where A1=address specified and A2=date specified:
=INDEX(HomeVal,(MATCH($A$1,StAddress,0)),(MATCH($A$2,Dates,0)))

Then make sure to press CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER to enter the formula as an array formula - if you only hit enter, these types of formulas will not work properly.

Please post back if you need further help, with more details, otherwise thank you for using and rating FixYa!
