Question about Jenn-Air 24 in. JDB7900 Built-in Dishwasher
We own a Jenn-Air JDB7900 that has been in use for 9 years, it was working fine until this morning. We last used it yesterday morning to run a load and this morning the "Heating Delay" light is lit and the washer will not turn on. We can't use any of the front panel push buttons to select or alter wash setting. Please help!! Thanks, Mark

SOURCE: jenn air jdb8910 does nothing
Had a similar problem with mine a few weeks ago. It was intermittent in not working on delay. My first thought was that the close switch was not working. Upon disassembling the door, and fiddling with the switch, I heard some sizzling on one of the circuit boards. A little more digging revealed some cold solder joints on a couple of board mounted relays.
I removed the board, re-soldered the loose relays, and everything has worked fine since.

Hi, I have an older dishwasher also and recently my wife also complained about it not cleaning right... so me being the man I am tried in vain to clean the things... Bought new spray arms online and installed them in minutes...now the thing works like new... However I have also found that if the heating element goes bad then that also can mess things up bad... So I would buy new spray arms, and also check out the heating element to make sure it is working... Here is a tip that will help you with the online buying...

SOURCE: After interrupting a wash cycle
It is possible that by opening the door mid cycle, the door switch mechanism has got disengaged. Refer item 11 in this diagram and expose it by taking out the panels around. Then tape it in depressed position and press start button to see if it engages.
If ok then put panel back and readjust the door latch mechanism to make sure the switch engages.
Hope this helps. Please post a comment on what you found. Please rate this solution if it works.
