Next to the fuse that blows is 4 large black diodes. one of those is common to short out. the bad one would give you a reading of zero ohms when checked with a meter. or just replace all 4. most likely its location D60. hope this helps

My SCA 1000 completely shut down and won't come back on

There is probably an internal slow-blow fuse, they will electrically fatigue over time.It will require the cover to be removed to replace it,look for an inline fuse holder on the hot lead where the power cord enters the housing.

I am wondering if there is an in-line fuse that may blow if there is a power surge? When tv is plugged in the red light is not on, and will not turn on..

Viewsonic 32" TV has an inline fuse. It is soldered to the power board. It is a small black cylinder. You can order a replacement fuse from aliexpress. Cost is about $1.40, but I had to purchase 10 for total cost of $14

Amp is blowing inline fuse everytime i connect the pos.&neg. wires

Hi thetexster74,
Blowing of fuse indicated of shorted parts inline with the supply voltage. Most common shorted parts is the sound output IC which is mounted in the heatsink. If your handy with electronics, have knowledge in soldering and desoldering technique, pull-out this IC to the board and then try the unit. If the fuse does not blow this time, you must replace this IC and your unit will back to normal again.
Let me know if the symptoms still persist after you've done the above solution.
Hope I helped you.
Thanks for using Fixya.

I have a Tantrum 500. and it is blowing my inline fuse on the power wire. I have made sure the ground wire is properly installed. I think it is a problem within the amp. Any suggestions would be very...

If your fuse is blowing off on power on, there is no doubt that your amp is having a short within the set. You must have a look within to confirm on the short. Remove off the set and open the covers. Use a good continuity tester to check out the power line cirrcuit for shorting or taking in more current then desired. You will need to connect the +B and check on the bench for confirmation . If you have noticed bad outputs replace and proceed. Other wise disconnect and power to confirm if the fuse holds out. If at all you set works and then the fuse blows out then your speakers, your wires must be checked for draining more current than required. elimination test on the PCB will get you to the fault. Attempt to do this only if you are familiar. Hope my advice helped you decide. Good day

Radio fuse keeps blowing out

well you can put a bigger fuse in but your risking really messing something up. if it's blowing the same fuse over and over, then you need to move the positive wire. look up the wiring diagram for the car and find the positive wire going to your fuse panal, connect it to that with a 20amp inline fuse and you should be set.

No power to the oven.. outlet that it is plugged into is ok. is there an inline fuse or could the power supply be bad?

There are two fuses inside the unit, a high voltage fuse as well as a slow blow fuse, you may need to replace these, but as well as that you may need to check the high voltage capacitor as well as the transformer if replacing the fuse's dont solve the problem. Good luck.

When i turn the a/c on it blows the a/c clutch fuse

The ac compressor is probably siezed. When you're turning on the ac it cant turn the compressor so its blowing the fuse. It could also be that the clutch windings are shorted.

That would be my first guess.

You can locate the wires on the compressor clutch that engage the clutch, remove the belt, and leave the engine turned off. Apply power from the battery to the clutch wires and see if you can move it at all with your hands. Use small gauge wire and maybe put in a inline fuse. If the clutch is burned up it will blow the fuse. I think the inline fuses are pretty cheap at a auto parts store. If its not burned up, and you cant move the pulley at all by hand, more likely than not you need to replace the compressor.

Instantly blows the 5 amp fuse next to the power cord plug.

You have a short in the power supply. Look at the regulator and or rectifier diodes. These are all on th primary side of the SMPS (switched mode power supply) the secondary side if shorted shouldn't cause a blown fuse at all.

Outside transformer blew, now TV doesn't work

I hope is only a fuse and it will not be hard to find it should be close to where the power cord goes in and it has to be replaced with the same amps and size.Make sure the set is not plug in whe you remove the lower back and once you replace it put the back cover on and plug it in,if more damage is present it will blow up again right away or it will blow up when you push the power button,I hope it doesn't but if it does you will need someone qualified to check the rest.Be careful
