Re: jvc

I am going to assume by out of line you mean that you have a green image besides the original image, or that the green image is somewhat distorted. If possible can you supply a picture? However based on your description you may have a convergence problem which is quite common in these types of televisions (projection TVs). You will have to have the Convergence Correction Amplifier ICs changed out the part number of the ICs are STK392-110. There are lots of resources on the net that explain how to change these components out so there is actually no need to retype it here just go to google and type in STK392-110 installation. This is of course if you have a background in electronics, if not I would advise that you have a TV repairperson come to your house and troubleshoot and replace thes malfunctioning components.
I hope this helps,
Thank you,

Talk to JVC as I have suggested and this is likely a known problem: loss of any color, picture upside down etc requires a upgrade to correct and I have seen about twenty sets with their name like this with this kind of problem.

My red color on the color convergence does not match the blue and green color

This is a very common failure on Projection TV sets.
Screen looks 3D
Colors don't line up
One or more colors can't be adjusted when using the convergence menu.
Screen is bowed or warped.
You can see some example photos and find a solution here...

Green tint on Samsung Television

Hi sbatsch,

Not to worry - this problem is very common with projection TVs and is easily fixed:

The reason for the green shadows (and the resulting wrong colors) is that the three color tubes (red, green, and blue - the three colors of light that combine to form all the other colors) are not lined up exactly - this lining up is known as "convergence." You can fix convergence automatically or, if it doesn't work to your satisfaction, manually. Here's how:

1) Press MENU.
2) Go down to CONVERGENCE (using the up and down arrows)
3) Select it (usually with the left or right arrow)
4) Go down to AUTO and select it - the process should take about a minute.

If this doesn't work, then try manually:
2) CONVERGENCE (as above)
3) Select MANUAL
4) Using the number keys, SELECT, and the arrow keys, adjust the alignment of the different color crosses - the goal is to make them appear white (meaning that the red, blue, and green are exactly aligned on top of one another).

Here's a link to the JVC user manual that will explain the manual convergence adjustment in more detail.

I hope this helps - please let me know if I can be of any further assistance.

JVC HD52Z585 green lines / remote service menu

The green screen you read about is a solid color only when you select digital input. If you are getting green lines in any other input the reset will have no affect at all.
You will need to have the TV serviced, there is a possibility that the service center can use the reset jig to correct this. But it could be more serious.

I had a problem with my TV colors not lining up. One day I turned it on and the green was out of wack. I checked this message board and replaced the STK chips, bad soldering and all led to me just giving up on that and buying a whole new Convergence Board ($185). I just plugged this in and though now my Green lines up okay, my red is out of whack. Is there something I am doing wrong? Can anyone help me? Did i miss a step? Frustrated......Bruce
