You can bypass that asking for information step. Simply go to Network and Sharing Center > Manage Wireless Connection > clik Add > select Add a Network in Range of Computer > then select your wireless network and connect. It will then prompt you to type your wireless network key. You should be good to go after that.

Thank you very much for all your trouble.
I have changed the setting in the Router from password to passphrase,rebooted the router and bingo it works.
