First off, is this a downgradable presario with Vista to XP?

If not, you want be able to go back to XP, unless you wipe Vista off the partition total, and you may exp. problems when you try to install XP..

Presario f700 drivers
You have to download XP drivers from the manufacturer's website. This normally happens because your harware was designed for the new OS(Vista).

Just go to hp.com and search for the model of your Laptop.

Connect laptop to cpu and use laptop as monitor
go to "tiger direct" and purchase a usb to usb interconnect cord. the software they supply will install an ansi and unicode driver so you can use two machines with win xp, win me or win 98. xp and me use the unicode driver while win 98 uses the ansi driver.
