Question about Lexmark X1150 All-In-One InkJet Printer
I have installe dthe driver on my new dell computer (vista OS). The installation ran fine but when I tried to print something it said "Problem communicating with the printer." I have already tried unplugging the cables and plugging them back in and restarting. What else can I do? I have the same problem and I bought a brand new usb cable but it aparently is still having problems to communicate with printer. What can i do?
This kind of issue might occur due to many reasons, like:
the previous installation files creating a glitch for new software.
goto devicemanager by following:
start->run->devmgmt.msc (type in the box)
check if you have printers with exclamation mark or any special symbol showing a problem with the device.
try updating the drivers,
a more feasible solution could be removing the usb composite device entries from the tree under usb section but this should be done only by a skilled technician.
