Question about Motorola Mobility RAZR V3m Cellular Phone
I didn't get to charge my battery so it drained out. When I tried charging it again, it won't turn back on. There is a blank screen on the cover, and the "verizon wireless" screen when opened, but it just locks there. It won't load the main screen when I try to power it on. The problem is I can't get to any of my data (my contacts, pictures, anything!) I tried switching batteries, and the battery works on another razr (a different working battery still doesn't work on mine). I just had this phone since early this year, and kept it in perfect shape. I tried taking out the battery/putting it back.. and I also tried charging it, but it doesn't seem to charge through my phone either, the screen remains blank (with the verizon screen inside) when I plug it in. I can't even turn the screen off or anything either. I don't mind getting a new phone, but is there ANY way to retrieve the data?? Any way to get to the main menu? The verizon people said the only way is to get to the main menu... is that true? :(
Thanks if you could help.
It may be your card. Take the card out and try it again I had to do that and wait for a while for it to turn on all the way

Go to motomodders.net and login with the following user/pass. user: modderhowardmoto pass: 12345678 The click on downloads->software->p2k software @ the top of the page. Download 1: Win2K/WinXP Motorola DriverPack, Version 2.9 -This Program will properly install the Motorola Phone Drivers Version 2.9 on your computer so that the next time you plug in a Motorola Phone, the drivers will be AUTOMATICALLY INSTALLED! Download 2: P2KManager Build 27.07.2004 -Essential File Manager for Vxxx Series Motorola Phones. Offers access to system, hidden, and any other file types stored in the phone?s memory. Also includes a SEEM file download/uploader for grabbing SEEM files for backup or uploading HEX modified SEEM files to enable hidden phone options. (Requires a data cable and basic file management skills.) Piece of cake.

SOURCE: Razr V3M locked
You will have to call the carrier and ask them for the PUK or PUC. This is the password unlock code. They will know exactly what you need. This will allow you to override the password and reset it. Some phones have 2 password codes. If you unlock it and some features still are inaccessible, then you may need the PUK2 code also.

in the top right corner you are suppose to have a little circular magnet that changes the screen when the phone is open or closed. I just changed my housing yesterday and took the magnet out and put it in my new housing but for some reason i have the same problem as you. so maybe you lost the magnet when you replaced the lcd and if that is the case then you are screwed. try have Motorola fix it, don't tell them you replaced the lcd

Ok i have this same problem. I tried this sloution....it didnt work for me but it worked for alot of other people. first open your phone and turn it over. First put your right hand thumb and first finger on the area between the camera lense and the volume button. This might work but if not take it to a at&t store and you can have them either transfer the documents on your phone to another or you can have the phone refurbished because the connection in your screen might be bad. Hope this works
