- I have a Dell Inspiron 1200. All of a sudden my dvd/cd-rom is not working. You can hear it spinning, but then it stops & nothing. Can someone tell me what the possible prob is?- imbjDec 07, 2008
- I have Dell Inspiron 530 desktop, about a month ago for whatever reason system stopped recognizing DVDs in the drive. It still sees CDs and plays them, but doesn't see any more DVDs. When I pop in any DVD, computer tells me there is no disk in the drive, and to insert one, but it is physically there.!!! - witadaNov 13, 2008

- My system detects the presence of a CD Drive but it can't read any type of disk.It was a DvD rom.
- Showing a message when we click on the drive that "the request could not be performed due to i/o device error.
- How can i solve this problem ?
