You can specifying your target frame using TARGET tag. see this site
But i suggest you don't use framed site, because it's not Search engine friendly. Search engine only know each of your html page, not framed page. When people click there (except they land the home site), they won't see your menus

    you don't have to you frame. "Include" in php is more appropriate to act like framed windows

1 Answer

Printer will not print the content from a website. The only thing that prints is the footer. Even when the Print preview shows all of the content on the web page, it will not print on the paper.

Some web pages are made up of two or more frames. If you use the Print button on the toolbar, only the active frame will be printed. To print the web page at it appears on the screen or to print only one frame use the Print dialog window to select what you want to print:

1.To print the web page including all the frames, in your web browser, click the File menu and select Print. In the Print Frames section, select the radio button next to As laid out on screen and click OK.
2. To print one frame, left click once on the frame you wish to print to select it. in the Print Frames section, select Only the selected frame and click OK.

Alternate method: Right click on the frame you want to print, choose Open Frame In New Window, then just print it out from the new window that opens as you would a non-frame web page.
Note: In Windows Internet Explorer version 5 or above, framed Web pages are printed with each frame coming out on a separate page by default.

Form creat in flash

  1. Create a new document and set the size to 400 x 300 ("Frame" > "Frame Size")
  2. Set "Frame 1" to "Stop" ("Frame" > "Frame Delay" and check "Stop", click OK)
  3. Draw 2 edit fields with the "Edit field" tool, they will appear as Edit1 and Edit2. Double click each field and make sure HTML is not checked, uncheck if necessary.
  4. Draw a button, double-click it and rename it to "OK".
  5. Draw edit field labels "Phone" and "Email" with the text tool. Double click each field and make sure HTML is not checked, uncheck if necessary.
  6. Draw "ErrorMessage" field with the "Text Paragraph" tool. Choose "Item" > "Text Color" and change it to red. Choose "Item" > "Placement Properties" and rename the field to "ErrorMessage"
    1. Select the button, choose "Item" > "Actions" > "OnClick". Select "ActionScript" and paste the following code:

    // reset error message
    ErrorMessage = "";

    // validate phone field
    phone = Edit1;
    if(phone=="") ErrorMessage = "Enter your phone";

    // validate email field
    email = Edit2;
    if(email=="") ErrorMessage = "Enter your email";
    if(email.indexOf("@",0)<0) ErrorMessage = "Enter valid email";
    if(email.indexOf(".",0)<0) ErrorMessage = "Enter valid email";

    // build message string
    message = "mailto:support@selteco.com?subject=Title&body=Form contents%0A";
    message = message + "phone: " + phone + "%0A";
    message = message + "email: " + email;

    // execute form if errormessage is empty
    if(ErrorMessage=="") getURL(message,"_self");

Hit F9 to preview. The form will not work until you export Flash file and HTML page. Choose "File" > "Export HTML Page" to create HTML page and test the form in a browser. This form is using very basic validation. Use "%0A" as line separator.
Use the following functions or attributes of the string:
  • length returns the number of characters
  • charAt(x) returns zero-based character at position x
  • indexOf(substring,startindex) returns the position of the first occurrence of the specified substring or -1.
  • lastIndexOf(substring,startindex) returns the position of the last occurrence of the specified substring or -1.
  • substr(start,n) returns n characters string starting at specified position
  • toLowerCase(), toUpperCase() converts the string to lower or upper case

How to hide frame contents

kunju1:

I am uncertain as to whether you have previously worked with me or with another expert, and I don't know exactly what system, software, and setup you are using. This response presumes that you are using Word 2007.

I would suggest checking to make sure you feel confident that the frame is better to use than a text box, as it is unclear what content you have. See http://office.microsoft.com/en-au/word/HP051893331033.aspx.

At any rate, likely the best way for you to make the content "invisible", although you evidently still want the contents present, and the frame at its current size, would be to change the font color to agree to your page (usually white). For example, white text on a white background is not visible.

I will be happy to help further if you have more specific needs, if you will provide additional info to help me zero in on what you are trying to accomplish. Please post back if you need further help, otherwise thank you for using and rating FixYa!

Dreamweaver CS3

Import Microsoft Office documents (Windows only) You can insert the full contents of a Microsoft Word or Excel document in a new or existing web page. When you import a Word or Excel document, Dreamweaver receives the converted HTML and inserts it into your web page. The file’s size, after Dreamweaver receives the converted HTML, must be less than 300K.
Instead of importing the entire contents of a file, you can also paste portions of a Word document and preserve the formatting.
Note: If you use Microsoft Office 97, you cannot import the contents of a Word or Excel document; you must insert a link to the document.
  1. Open the web page into which you want to insert the Word or Excel document.
  2. In Design view, do one of the following to select the file:
    • Drag the file from its current location to the page where you want the content to appear.
    • Select File > Import > Word Document or File > Import > Excel Document.
  3. In the Insert Document dialog box, browse to the file you want to add, select any of the formatting options from the Formatting pop-up menu at the bottom of the dialog box, and then click Open. Text Only Inserts unformatted text. If the original text is formatted, all formatting will be removed.
    Text With Structure Inserts text that retains structure, but does not retain basic formatting. For example, you can paste text and retain the structure of paragraphs, lists, and tables, without retaining bold, italics, and other formatting.
    Text With Structure Plus Basic Formatting Inserts both structured and simple HTML-formatted text (e.g., paragraphs and tables, as well as text formatted with the b, i, u, strong, em, hr, abbr, or acronym tag).
    Text With Structure Plus Full Formatting Inserts text that retains all structure, HTML formatting, and CSS styles.
    Clean Up Word Paragraph Spacing Eliminates extra space between paragraphs when you paste your text if you selected Text With Structure or Basic Formatting. The contents of the Word or Excel document appear in your page.

When dealing with frames the URL shouldn't change. Thats one of the reason why people actually use them, because they can hide the true url of the content.
