Do you mean when printing, the paper roll doesn't advance? Does is make the noises? Strip it down and look for dirt, fluff, and scraps of paper. Clean with a half inch paintbrush.
Push the button with the clock and calendar, this is directly over the 'cost' button, to display the date or time. Then use the 'Time set' button (this is the one for Memory - Plus - Equal). Hold the 'Time set' button down until the first figure blinks then release it. Use the number buttons to change the setting. When you have gotten the correct date or time entered oress the 'Time Set' button again.
Although it is only printed with 'Time Set' the button works for the date just as well.
1. Remove print head by following manufacturer procedure (available at www.canon.usa.com. 2. Turn off printer. 3. While pressing the Resume/Cancel button, press and hold the Power button. (Do not release the buttons. The Power LED lights in green to indicate that a function is selectable.) 4. While holding the Power button, release the Resume/Cancel button. (Do not release the Power button.) 5. While holding the Power button, press the Resume/Cancel button 2 times. Then release both the Power and Resume/Control button. 6. When the Power LED lights in green, press the Resume/Cancel button 4 times. 7. Turn printer off. Then replace the printer head using manufacturer's procedure available on line. 8. The printer is now reset and you are ready to print.
I called Canon customer support. There is a tiny reset button on the lower back area of the calculator. Simply stick a small object in there to reset the calculator and you should be as good as new! Worked for me!
