Washer will not rinse after display shows 13 minutes to go

in rince cycle. A trickle of water can be heard in washer until

13 minutes is reached, then maching stops with code (upside down u and f) displayed. can hear hum from control panel during this time.

I'll try, I will assume you are you in the final spin cycle of the wash cycle. Do you take any error codes to the console of your FAV6800AW when the washer stops? How long since the clutch replacement. Can you do the same load in Quick Wash cycle and let me know of any error codes to the console, time remaining on the display of the cycle if it stops/fails and the led Cycle Status indicator position of the wash cycle. If your machine is a FAV6800AWW or FAV9800AWW the (upside down u and f) may be a “NF” for no fill error. The washer has tried to fill the machine with water and has sensed a water fill issue. The control board has shut the wash cycle down with an “NF” error to the display because of excess time to complete the water fill portion of the wash cycle.
Will the machine complete the cycle with Hot water only or Cold water only? I would do a Quick Wash cycle just to test with an empty wash basket.
Regardless of the above test and assuming you have good water pressure for both Hot and Cold supplies to the washer I would do the following. Close the water source valves to the washer and remove the Hot and Cold hose connections at the back of the machine and check for clogged inlet screens. If the water inlet screens are free of restrictions I would go into Service Mode and turn on the Hot and Cold water valves on one at a time and make sure the tub will fill with about 2 inches of water in about 3 minutes in service mode. Check both Hot and Cold inlet valves individually see page 16 of the SM Board Output Test, enter service mode and do the function test for both Hot and Cold Water Valve’s. If the inlet screens are clean and you have water fill restrictions in service mode we may need to look at replacing the water inlet valve assembly. You can turn on the drain pump in service mode to empty the tub or just start a wash cycle and the machine will empty the tub.

It sounds like the Outer Bearings are going due to a leaky Tub Seal. Bothe can be repaired and have done on this site. This site has no way to reference past post to machine issues.

I have helped owners of theFAV6800A and FAV9800A machines here but I prefer a tru DIY site.

I no longer post on this site no way to post a Sticky for machine issues.

If you want to DIY the repair Google this phrase ""Sticky: Neptune TL Washer FAV6800AWW""" Read the post Part 1; DC or UC unbalance error codes in Spin Cycle what is causing this issue? Part 2 for the fix action.

Post your issue in the repair forum not in the Sticky. Please include your Model Number i.e. FAV6800A or FAV9800A and I will help you.

If you open the lid and spin the wash basket by hand will it rotate CCW with very little effort?

I'm an owner like you and with no error codes this could be a little more difficult to troubleshoot.

Without a known good Control Board and Motor Controller same deal difficult to troubleshoot.

The Washer Motor for the most part is rock solid I have not heard of anyone having to replace it. But there is always a first time and it has a 10 year warranty which may be up.

How deep to you want to get into trouble shooting? Can you tell if the humming is coming from the top of the machine LED Console area or bottom of the machine (left front side) Motor Controller area? You may want to remove the front panel to get a visual of the Motor and Motor Controller.

You can go into Service Mode and step thru the machine Diag codes and that may give you a start point to fault isolation.

Maytag neptune FAV6800AWW top load washer gets to 32 minutes left and goes no further. It starts to cycle for about 5 seconds and stops for about 35 seconds... over and over and over

Is the machine in Spin Cycle when this is happening? What part of the washer selected cycle does the Cycle Status LED say the machine cycle is in.
If it’s in the Spin Cycle I think you have a clutch issue. Do you take any error codes to the LED console display such as dC or uC?
If you stop the machine in that cycle and do a Spin Only cycle will it complete?
Do you want to DIY the fix? Let me know and I will try to help…..Rich

IMaytag neptune washer stops at every cycle

Unplug the washer for 10 min to reboot the curcuit board. This will clear the little brain of any unwanted commands. Selecting too many cycles in a short period of time in frustration can overwelm the little brain. This can also happen with power surges from the electrical company. Undervoltage or overvoltage can cause similar problems. Rebooting clears the memory in the board and starts from scratch.
