The battery is at fault. The charging circuit is fine as it says CHARGING. As the battery is at fault you may like to as Samsung to replace it if the device is still under warranty. Else replace the battery.

Will not charge--will come on plugged into pc tower, but will not charge

it's charging when plugged into your pc, if it doesn't hold power well you may have a defective battery, plug it in and let it sit for 6-7 hours and see how long the battery holds out. if it doesn't work you have a bad battery.

My mp3 player frozzed on my when i was adding the music to my ps3

SOLUTION 1 - Reset the device.
SOLUTION 2 - Re-seat the battery.
1. Remove the battery.
2. Connect the player to the PC to verify if it turns on.
3. Ensure the player's connectors are touching the battery terminals.
4. Re-seat the battery to ensure proper connection.
5. Verify if the player turns on.

NOTE: If the player turns on when connected to the PC but not stand-alone, the battery may need replacement.

Player turning on and off when trying to access it

...check that the player is set to MTP mode and don't even have realplayer or WM player open when you connect. Drag-and-drop from your desktop should be working. Also, check the player's HOLD button and make sure the player's battery actually has power! (The PC USB port needs to be "high power" to get juice to the battery...maybe it's not charging?)
