Hello Mr. Robertson. With your computer go to 'Sears Parts' and search for your make & model. This site will provide the complete technical service manual including parts ID & pricing. Disconnect the AC power & hoses(prepare to catch the water spill from the hoses), get your tool box,(correcting the lid sensor switch position or replacing it, making a note on the color coded wiring of the controller) and spend the whole day disassembling, confirming what parts you need, gittin em, replacing em, puttin it back together, and savin the money to celebrate.

My marantz sr5004 is flashing the standby light and wont switch on

Switch off the unit. Then hold down Sorround, Exit, Memory & Clear buttons all together and then switch on the power. This should work.

My son accidentally the pos and neg speaker wires together and the fuses blew on the amp and now the power light wont come on at all do you think the amp is damaged?

If I had to guess by touching the positive and the negative terminals together it probably fried up the transistors. While back I did the same to my amp and poof amp no longer worked. Took the amp apart to find the transistors fried up. Ordered them from the manufacturer but never installed them, ended up buying a new amp. Mainly, replacing the amp doesn't mean it would fix the problem....

I have everything hooked up right and system was playing fine. then the blue power button started flashing and subwoofer wont hit. the orange thermal light is also on. how can i fix it?

If your subs are dual voice coil, they will be tricky if you're not familiar with them. If you wire them in series ( a black and red together) and bridging them on the amp, you might be overloading the amp if it is not capable to handle it ( 1 ohm stable). Instead of bridging, try parallel series on the amp. A positive and negative will be wired together. The other postive will go to the positive of channel 1 and negative to the negative of chanel 2.

Or wire the speaker in parallel ( black with black- red with red) and you can then either bridge them on the amp or on their own channel

Battery wiring

Series or paralell?. Should be parallel so you get 12 v0lts. two positives together and two negatives together

Kenwood amp

Yes there is!!! I have that same amp and what probably happened to you happened to me, if you seen some black smoke or smelled like something was burning then heres what you do, Remove the cover under the bottom of the amp, there are alot of little screws so dont lose them!!!, you will see a wire that look like it ws fried and it will be broke apart, so get you a GOOD sautering iron and sauter the wire back together is you cant get it to sauder back then just take a piece of wire and tie the two broken pieces together and then your amp should work again!!

Wiring the coils together

For each sub, tie the DVCs in parallel ("+"s together, then "-"s together). This will make the subs look like 2 ohms to the amp. Then, put one sub on each channel of the amp. That will put about 280W rms onto each sub, the max for the amp.
