Run a cycle using CLR and water, about half&half. Rinse for a few cycles with fresh water before brewing coffee. It worked for me!

Door will not open if machine not emptied immediately cycle ends

This is an anti-flood protection, since water would flood the kitchen if you could open the door. If the machine shuts down for some fault and leaves the drum with water in, then it is advisable to drain the drum down via the small hose at the front of the machine. Simply remove the plug and empty into a large container until the drum is empty. You can then start to work out why the cycle ceased prematurely.

The machine is filled up with water , but the water line level keeps blinking kie it's empty

Check the Float Rocker inside the water tank. Sometimes this comes off the retainer when filling the tank. If this is an older machine from early 2000's or 90's the tanks will have different type of sensors. Most of them that are older the sensors are normally broken and need replacements.

Hotpoint Aquarius 1100 WM63. fills with water...I dont think it is heating water...rarely rotates and spins (saw it once in early stage of J prog only) seems to fill and empty but no rotate or spin....

if it fill with water then stops it is the ellement the machine first fills turns the drum then heats up the thermostat cuts in and the it emptys rinses and spins so if it does not get to temp it will stop or continue to wash forever

Door locked and takes water will not empty or spin

turn the machine off and check under the lid.
the pressure switch hose may have fallen off. its a clear tube that fits onto a nozzle on the underside of a plastic circular unit about 40mm diameter on the left hand side. this should shut the water off when filled to correct level.
to get the water out in any case put the drain hose end lower than the water level into a basin to syphon it out. lifting the hose above water level will stop it till you empty basin.
