Power on TV, green power on LED flashes continuously for about 1-2 minutes and screen is blank. Then the green power light stays lit and the screen displays different solid colors vertically across the width of the TV. Each color is about 1/2 to 1" wide and covers all the colors in the spectrum. No audio sound is present nor can any remote menu function be displayed. Only the power off button on the remote will work. Service Tech replaced the lamp today but didn't solve the problem. He thinks it could be the optical block but I'm not so sure it will correct the problem.Any suggestions? Thanks.

your issue is more than likely in the optical assy but make sure its not the lvds cable. when technicians remove the optical assy alot of times they will forget to remove the lvds cable and it ggets damaged.
