Question about Dell Wireless Keyboard Optical Mouse w0147
My wireless keyboard stopped responding. i replaced the batteries, even though, i had just replaced them days before to make sure that wasnt the problem. i pushed the receiver button on the underside of the keyboard. the light flashed on the receiver. mouse is still working fine and is off same receiver. i pushed the button on the receiver itself to recognize the keyboard also. light blinked in response. the hot keys all work, but not any of the numbers, letters, f keys, nothing. in the control panel, nothing is listed for the keyboard, but the mouse is listed. have restart computer several times.
The keyboard has probably died. (It happens often). Here's a great inexpensive combo to replace your current one. https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-MK270-Wireless-Keyboard-Mouse/dp/B00BP5KOPA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1491364851&sr=8-1&keywords=Logitech-MK270-Wireless-Keyboard-Mouse

Normally Dell keyboard require a wireless uSB plug in that connects to your computer and there is usually a small button on both the keyboard and the end of the connector. Press them both. Normally preplacing batteries causes the connection to be disrupted.

SOURCE: keyboard not responding
Solution. My wireles keyboard stopped working except for the F-Lock key, the Media key and the sleep key. It wasn't batteries, even though I tried, communication was there because the above keys were working. Remove the batteries from your keyboard and let it sit for about 10 minutes. Press the red connect button a few times and other various keys every few minutes during that time. This may be the whole "capacitor discharge" trick, but I tired that with someone elses instructions and my keyboard did not work after 2 minutes of key pressing. I think it just needed more time to clear out the secure settings. Good luck, I was about to trash this keyboard until I tried again

The keyboard should have a button underneath it. Press the button on the usb controller first and then the button on the keyboard. Repeat a few times to see if it connects. If you are still having trouble try another set of batteries as some batteries are not designed for wireless products.

My Dell wireless keyboard doesn't work. I replaced the batteries in it and pressed the green button on the back of it then the button on the wireless thing plugged into the computer. That light blinks for a few seconds then stops but the keyboard still doesn't work. My wireless mouse works fine.
