Unable to activate Adobe Flash Player 8 on a website after installing it

I went to my kids usual website and today it read that I had to install the Adobe Flash Player 8 or higher....I then installed the Active X.....did this over and over and restarted computer several times but the same thing on the website still shows that I need to install Adobe 8 FP or higher.  I have Windows XP, enabled java and active x, allowed pop ups, and am not sure what I need to do next.  Any help or ideas here?

I'm on Vista too but I never had this problem before. I did have a recovery when I broke the keyboard, but it ran without problems until a week or so ago. I even installed lower versions of what was required just to see if it would help. I enabled JavaScript and installed Adobe Flash Player more then one time, and ALL my websties use them, I have no idea what's going on!

It may just be the website. The latest version of FlashPlayer ususally installs without a hitch (Adobe.com). Do you still have this problem?

If you are facing problem in Adobe flash player, then it might be due to Kaspersky Internet security. Un-install kaspersky or disable kaspersky while viewing multimedia content.
If problem still occurs then use system utility tool Reginout for an instant fix.

I'm trying to download Adobe Flash Player. I am unable to complete download as I get an error reading The ActiveX Control for Flash Player could not be registered. Unsure what this means or how to fix it....

Hello brettashepe, once the "Download of the {Adobe Flash Player} begin!"
"Observe a 'message'!
The message may 'appear as a "Pop-up" in a small area of the 'upper screen'.
"Install [Active X] Software!"
There may also be a !Warning: To the "Downloading of "Active X" on the computer.
This is a "Trusted-Site; so its safe to "Download the Software."
Try [Downloading Adobe Flash Player] from this "Website."
Attention!: If you are 'still' having trouble "Downloading the [AFP]?
Try (1) from a {Previous Version} ie. Adobe Flash Player

My new packard Bell Onetwo M D6321 64 bit system will not function with Adobe Flash Player 10 Active X. Im using internet explorer (64 bit) as my browser. Adobe website keeps leading round and round...

The component is named 'ActiveX'.
The version of the Adobe Flash Player was 9-point-something, but now
the current version of the Adobe Flash Player is 10-point-something.

So, use Add/Remove Programs to _remove_ Adobe Flash Player.
Restart your computer.
Access: http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
and allow the ActiveX control downloaded from Adobe to be installed.

Adobe Flash Player Download

When you click the yellow bar to allow the active x install/control
the page may not refresh, try hitting F5 or the refresh button. or click back and then click forward
Or just download Firefox for free as it most always works.
visit their main page to get the media downloads for it.

Just download ActiveSync form the Microsoft DL page and install.
